Military

I am a first time Freeper. My husband keeps telling me about all the postings he reads and how much he enjoys going to the site. I figured it was about time I checked it out for myself. Yesterday, I sat at our table enjoying Thanksgiving dinner with my husband and two of our sons. It just reminded me how fortunate we are to have such wonderful men and women in our military that are willing to sacrifice their own lives so that we can sit at a table and freely pray and thank God for His many blessings. I pray for the families of our soldiers who are so supportive and sacrifice so much. But mostly I pray for God to protect our soldiers and for them to get word on a regular basis about how much Americans admire them and support what they are accomplishing. May God bless our military and their families and watch over them.

Hello, LadyRed

Tell us something about yourself --

Did you cook your Thanksgiving dinner or did you go elsewhere?

How many Viking kitties do you have?

The socks you're wearing tonight - do they have holes?

C'est honteux pour écrire une telle chose. J'ai appris comme un enfant jamais pour le critiquer avec un accent différent. Il signifie qu'ils parlent une langue que vous ne parlez pas. Ne pas combattre avec moi en français.

We can not help where we are from. We are all from different places at different times. It gives us all different advantages and disadvantages. It is what you do with what G-d has given you that marks you as who you are.

You might review your linguistic snobbery. It is unbecoming.

If I dare say, I probably have more ancesters in this country far earlier than the vast bulk of America. I am looking forward to one smashing big party in 15 years to celebrate our 400th aniversary in this fine land. It does not make me better or worse than anyone else. It tells me where I came from. I and my children decide where we go from here and here (America) we stay.

Please see your FReepmail.

The signature block says it all.

Il n'y a pas d'honte être français. Il y a seulement l'honte dans rester de français.

"Welcome to the party, pal!"
-John McClane in the movie "Die Hard".

Welcome to FR from a "newbie".
There is a FR "newbie" probationary period buy no one has told me how long that period is.
It's best to have an "about" page. I'm suspicious of those who have been here for years but don't have one.
Don't be intimidated by the "Bushbots".
Democracy will not die if you don't FReep every poll.
If someone calls you a "troll" don't worry about it.
There are always self-appointed FR Post Police that are watching your every word.
Enjoy your stay.

Really it's not that bad and this is a smart forum (for the most part) and I learn something every day. Have fun and speak your mind. :-)

OMG that site is CONFUSING! I went there to see if I could simply send a package to ANY SOLDIER...and their "HOW TO SEND" page is unavailable...and after 15 minutes...I have yet to find HOW to address or HOW to pack a package!!

My wife thanks every person in uniform she sees.

I donate cigars to active duty and former military. And to their families. It's fun.

We have the greatest military, the finest soldiers, sailors, and airmen.

There is no known cure, other than occasional bouts of work or sleep.

I know, Fawn. From chatting with you, a lot of things in life confuse you. ;)

Just take your time and work on it. Or ignore it.

And I know from your posts...that you can be assuming and rude to people. One of the the links to that page is bad....I was able to get to it however and get some of the information I need. Try to be nice to people...it's the holiday season. :)
