"Former Secretary of State" is the operative phrase.

Calling a congressman Michael Moore is a bit juvenile. You would think the President's spokesman could come up with something better than that. How about saying "We heard the Congressman's statement..and he is wrong."

It's now official if there was any doubters. Powell was not only a turn coat but probably from day one serving as JCS under GHB admin way back when was not a real republican nor champion of the conservative movement. He simply served at the pleasure of the two administrations. And one is going to eventually if not already of the opinion, find Condi is cut from the same fabric. Public relation marketing can do wonders can't it. Gee, I wonder if the Lamestream Mediots would object if we called Powell "Uncle Tom" or threw Oreos at him?
Seems to me that it applies to this opportunist traitorous POS than Steele...and remember, it's OK to race-bait "Conservative Blacks", so "Uncle Tom" Powell MUST be an OK target...right?

Why doesn't Powell just switch parties publicly and claim he is another Demoncrat. I think Powell is a disgrace. If it weren't for his color, he would not be in any position of authority - talk about a rigged career based on color ... .

Ya know .. I use to give Powell the benefit of doubt .. because some things were taken out of context
But to say that terrorists aren't a serious issue??
He is a fool and I am glad he is out of this administration

Powell may be to the United States what Talleyrand was to France, serving as a foreign secretary under royalist, revolutionary, and Napoleonic regimes. He may be looking at service in what he guesses will be a Democratic administration in 2009, becoming a token Republican like David Gergen or William Cohen were in the Clinton Administration.

Thanks for your comments, Colin Blow...now crawl back to your hole.

My neighbor said Mr Powell was just an unfortunate "diversity hire".

Michael Moore is deeply offended.
To: USNBandit
Michael Moore sat next to Jimmy Carter in a special box provided by the Democrat party at the DNC. Why would any Democrat consider the comparison offensive? Unless, of course, even Democrats find Moore offensive.

Colin Powell: Decent Military General... Disastrous Sec. State.
Sounds like he's well into the third stage of Lib/Dem Seduction and Assimilation.
Jack.

Who in the White House accused Murtha of being Michael Moore?
To: Carl/NewsMax
Hey Powell,
so I suppose you think what Murtha said was correct?
To: BenLurkin
"accusing him of being a Michael Moore, was disgraceful and was not worthy,"
At least it is now universally recognized that being compared to Michael Moore is very undesirable.
*VERY SHARP!

Ahhhh...the real Colin Powell has finally stood up. He might as well make it official and join the Democrat party. Well put. Changed my tagline to reflect what I believe we'll be seeing more of.

"Calling a congressman Michael Moore is a bit juvenile. "
Murtha advocated the same thing as Moore - immediate retreat and surrender (aka immediate withdrawl.)
The comparison is 100% valid.
