Still doesn't make the comment sound any less stupid. The man is the spokesman for the President, yet he constantly gets out done by the likes of Helen Thomas.

Part of winning the public discourse is the thoughtful use of the spoken word. That is his job. He could learn a thing or two from watching Chevy Chase in "Spies Like Us." :)
