DEBKAfile Exclusive: Eight high-ranking al Qaeda leaders blew themselves up after a large American force Sunday noon laid siege to a building in which they were barricaded in Mosul, northern Iraq.

The US force, backed by helicopters and tanks, was led to the location by an intelligence tip. The troops had evacuated the area and were preparing to storm the building when the terrorists killed themselves.
Some Arab sources report that American unit is now busy trying to identify the 8 bodies, hoping against hope that Abu Musab al Zarqawi is among them. This is not confirmed by US military sources.
Let's hope and pray it is the boogy man...terrorist.
This isn't breaking news. I'll post a report from a legitimate news organization - from yesterday.
Betcha Abu Musab al Zarqawi is NOT among them.
Death is only for "the little people" and suckers, not for the "leaders".

Arab press: al-Zaraqawi may have been killed
Arch terrorists and al-Qaeda leader in Iraq Abu Musab al-Zarqawi may have been killed, Arab press have reported.
According to reports, American and Iraqi forces are currently checking whether al-Zarqawi's body can be found among the bodies of other al-Qaeda members that blew themselves up at a house that was besieged by the forces at the northern town of Musul. (Ali Waked)

So the American unit on the scene is busy trying to identify the 8 bodies while DEBKA reports the 8 are all high-ranking al Qaeda leaders. This is breaking news alright they are breaking our you know what.

I did a search on "Mosul" and "Al Qaeda" then chose the News portion. It was approximately ten stories down. I did get to read a few sentences, and there were no identifications made at the time of this article.
