That is exactly what I said in post 273. This is all a grand plan by the Democrats.

It is Democrat 101, be on both sides of an issue and depend on the MSM to remember the correct side and conveniently forget the incorrect side.

It works for them because they have the MSM locked up.

"Cowards cut and run. Not Marines" Congresswoman Jean Schmidt (Republican)) "

Love your new tag line! I think we should create a Freeper reward for the esteemed Jean Schmidt. This is in order after the spinless pubs made here retract her remarks.

So let's start a campaign to recognize Jean and give her the props she so richly deserves!

Damn straight. My God I saw the man on the Today show and he was going on about this being another Watergate leading right up to the VP's office, maybe beyond.

The LIBS practically orgasm when they think there is a possibility it could lead right to the top. I honestly look for them to start believing it very soon, and we all know what happens to the Lib population and their willing accomplices in the MSM when they start believing something!!! R's better start playing offense or we are in trouble. Cannot not let them keep hammering at these lies . . . .

The buffoon doesn't get, or doesn't want to admit, that we are cleaning up for failures to execute an effective response to Sadam way back then.

Wish just once one of these morons would read Bill Clinton's statement on Iraq from Dec 16, 1998 and ask these surrender Monkeys to explain how they support Clinton in 1998 for claiming we needed to do what President Bush DID in 2003.

Well said. I am astounded that more even here on FR do not see the dangers ahead if the White House does not immediately take back the political initiative.

What do you expect when they have 29% Republicans in the polls? I do not trust any of them.

Even FoxNews? It reflects some pretty bad news.

The new dem talking point is that "Clinton didnt go to war, even though he recognized the threat". Just like he did after numerous terror attacks against us during his reign of tyranny..

Which gave us, ultimately, 9/11 (not, as Charlie Rangel keeps calling it, 911), which changed everything.

The DUmocrats aren't against war...they are just against any action leading to Republican success. Taking the issue after issue away from them really sets them off.

But when you ask more democrats than republicans questions like "Do you approve of the way the liar bush his handling his job as president given record unemployment (in Zimbabwe), the fact that every one hates America because Bush lied and he drowns puppies?" You get the bottoming out numbers that the MSM love to trumpet..

Yes, I'm sure that's the way FoxNews asks the questions....

The new dem talking point is that "Clinton didnt go to war, even though he recognized the threat"

And the response should be:

"Neither did he, when the WTC was bombed, when soldiers were slaughtered in Somalia, when the embassies in Africa were bombed, when the USS Cole was attacked. And even bin Laden admitted these inactions lead to his decision to attack the WTC and Pentagon on 9-11-01."

Rumsfeld was good... but NO amount of Rumsfeld is 'gonna cure the rot in Congress over Iraq. I hate to say it... but only another attack at a much higher cost will wake us from our stupor.

Whether being 'awake' matters after that happens... depends on how badly we're hit.

love to see him speak like he has the last week or so...but, I also get sick of hearing all of the dems accusing him of being defensive and having to speak to counteract the "truth"...blah, blah...

Doesn't help that most of the "Conservative" pundits repeat the Dems attack lies none stop. Maybe "Conservatives" should spend more time on offense. It really is the one odd things about American Politics. Repubs are great leaders and lousy at PR. Dems are great at PR but stink as leaders.

It amazes me that the left just doesnt grasp how much the world changed on that day. Regardless of whether Hussein had anything to do with 9/11, he was doomed the second that first plane hit the tower. Why? Because a regime like his just eminates evil, and is a beacon for all of those who oppose democracy and liberty. A magnet for terror and after 9/11, regimes like his cannot just be "contained", which until then was the liberal policy. "He is only gassing his own people, so we will huff and puff and bomb sporadically, and that will contain his evil" was the Clinton mantra. Containment as a policy went out of the window at 0847 on the morning of 11 September, 2001. We hate it for the loss of life and the gross affront to liberty and freedom, the Dems and libs hate it because it exposed their lassez-faire attitude toward monsters like Hussein and Bin-Ladin, and because they now have to justify their appeasement..

I just love it when they call Viet Nam "Nixon's war" - just makes me want to nuke every last one of them.

Fox News doesn't conduct the polls, but rather a opinion-based research polling company called 'Opinion Dynamics' based in Massachusetts. Fox News pays the company to do their polling.

And the FoxNews poll last year had Ho Chi Kerry winning by 2%.
