OMG! Did Wallace just ask if it "was a good thing" that injured soldiers were not just killed on the battlefield?

Could well explain why the SOROS funded RHINO's voted against ANWAR. Indeed you are correct. According to Strine the GOP was blindsided. When they asked Castle about it, they said Castle told them "No one in Delaware has complained about it."
I will walk barefoot over that mythical broken glass and expose this guy. gives me a purpose in life. ;)

From all accounts Murtha served honorably while he was active duty and everyone respects that. His last few years have evidently not been so honorable. When a person tells the troops one thing to their face and then stands up in front of the world and does a 180, that person is totally without honor.

A report I read said Ford was going after Tancredo, and vice versa I'd pay money to see that! Tancredo can easily b*tch slap Ford any day of the week with the truth.

So true.
Let the cable go out and the cable man becomes the most important person in one's world.
Let the toilet stop up and the plumber becomes the most important person.

I do not think they can use that line of attack and have it stick. GWb has said all along that when the Iraqi's can stand up our Troops will stand down and not until. There have been all kinds of Statements in the past few months that we may be able to send some of the Troops home next Year, and these Statements were reported in the Has Been media. The Dems cannot possibly make themselves out to be Moderate on the War, especially since their Leader Dean is so anti War and always has been. Murtha was one of Dean's biggest supporters for Chairman of the DNC, and he was Pelosi's big War Consultant. They all voted the opposite of what they have been preaching for Months and they look really bad right now.

Just north of me(broward) in retirement land where "old" voters (avg. age 175) all vote in lockstep, Wiggy Wexler, a rabid rat, also voted to bring home the troops. He's a piece of work.

Keep his question in context.
To: TomGuy
I love the comment from the VP the other evening - he knows the score in Washington and I am certain he is pleased at long last he is being given license to say a thing or two.
"Most of you know, I have spent a lot of years in public service, and first came to work in Washington back in the late 1960s. I know what its like to operate in a highly charged political environment, in which the players on all sides of an issue feel passionately and speak forcefully. In such an environment people sometimes lose their cool, and yet in Washington you can ordinarily rely on some basic measure of truthfulness and good faith in the conduct of political debate. But in the last several weeks we have seen a wild departure from that tradition. And the suggestion thats been made by some U.S. senators that the President of the United States or any member of this administration purposely misled the American people on pre-war intelligence is one of the most dishonest and reprehensible charges ever aired in this city. (Applause.) "

I do expect these NE liberals to be performing a crying drama about needing federal funding for the "HIGH" price of oil. Probably set aside a few elderly grandma's as freezing to death cause the evil rich republicans refused to send money. Old man winter just is not cooperating yet, Mother Nature seems be causing a "time" delay.
To: bvw
Great post. You nailed one major difference between most Republicans and Democrats, or certainly the left versus right.
The only ones wearing their service on their sleeve are those Democrats (and GOPers like McCain) who have nothing else and need to reinforce their egos. Democrats also do it in an attempt to regain the respect they lose when they disparage the military.

Wow! First I heard of that. Makes sense since the source will not allow Woodward to be released from confidentiality.
