During one of countless book-related radio interviews this week, a liberal radio host insultingly asked me whether I write my own column. His question was prompted by vicious anonymous bloggers who portray me as a greedy Asian whore/dupe/brainwashing victim who simply parrots what my white slavemasters program into my empty little head. These critics have stepped up attacks on my husband Jesse as a fanatical right-wing puppeteer orchestrating all I do and say.

I assume these tinfoil-hat wearers also think I'm secretly wired during my TV and radio appearances, speeches, and debates-- you know, just like George Bush.

The Left's supposed concern for minorities is actually a mask for their elitism. They believe that they and only they, have the wisdom to run the country for the benefit of all, and that they must do it through the government. Minorities are a vassal group to them, unable to succeed without their help.

In short, being a leftie is a massive ego trip, where one can feel righteous and sanctimonious about one's one supposed goodness and yet look down on others in the process.

In case she happens upon this thread, the more I learn about who Michelle Malkin is, and how she works, the greater my respect for her accomplishments. To produce the quality and extent of her work under those pressures is extraordinary.

Her husband doesn't deserve that kind of abuse. He started out as a Dukakis type liberal who fell in love with the "wrong" woman, had kids by her and changed his views. Whatever you think of Michelle, she's right, her husband is not a public figure. And the notion she's somehow his puppet - what can one say. Its blatantly sexist - and there's the racial angle. All this from the enlightened and tolerant folks who normally applaud interracial marriages. They're the ones who cannot tolerate a minority female having a different set of beliefs.

For what it's worth, I have long noted that the critics are harsher on the conservative women than they are on the men. I have speculations on why this is, but it's been said thousands of times.

Well, of course. Blacks, Asians, Hispanics, etc are not allowed to form their own opinions that run contrary to the party apparatus. Because of their skin color, they are only allowed to think and act a certain way.

Only whites are allowed to form political philosophies that may stray from their own and avoid being called a race traitor.

It is amazing how so many people have no problem being treated like a heard of livestock by politicians that take their vote for granted. Stray from the heard, you will be demonized and have Oreo cookies thrown at you. But of course it is the Republicans that look down on you with contempt... They want to starve you. They want to continue to hold you back. We run the inter-cities of Detroit and elsewhere but it is still the Republican's fault. This is what a generation of social programs and the cult of victimization does.

At the risk of sounding like a male chauvinist pig, I would say that Mrs. Malkin is not "yellow," but rather a beautiful carmel coler. The only thing "yellow" is the so called "journalism" where the all so open minded and caring leftists show themselve to be brutal thought police, who insist that everyone of a certain color MUST believe in certain things.

What I love is the way a leftist's face goes purple when I mention that this sort of statement is 180 degrees opposite of what Dr. Martin Luther King stated in his "I have a dream" speech, and when I tell them that Dr. King would be a republican today!

At the risk of generalizing, Americans of European heritage tend not to hyphenate their "identity", while other ethnic groups do. When is the last time you heard someone referred to as a "European-American". It seems odd. So why isn't it odd, to refer to others this way?

Referring to someone as "Italian-American" or "German-American" seems so Ellis Island, like a journey down memory lane to the times of the Titanic, the Hindenberg, and those funny old bicycles, with the huge front wheel.

It's such old thinking. America is about renewal. Inclusion.

Somehow many non-European heritage Americans seem to have been convinced by the race baiters, that ethic hyphens bring some sort of freedom, or equality.

In fact, it traps. Once adopted, the hyphen defines the person. What good is that??
