Conservatives are the defenders of freedom, not only abroad, but at home as well. Far too many Americans have forgotten or are unaware of how much freedom we have lost here in this country at the hands of Democrats and other socialists. Ronald Reagan said, "Above all, we must realize that no arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women." And in yet another speech Reagan raised an important issue, "It's time we asked ourselves if we still know the freedoms intended for us by the Founding Fathers."
The same Democrats that want to abandon the Iraqis when freedom is at last within their reach are the same socialists that would enslave us at home. Nikita Khrushchev: "We can't expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism."
The Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution to limit the Federal government's power to control our daily lives. The Constitution is the first line of defense for our own freedom. WE the people can restore the Constitution. lol, CNN couldn't bring themselves to do live coverage after the vote -- they were on pre-recorded stuff (larry king live & then anderson cooper from two hours earlier). It was really weird, and soooo transparent!
