I am asking all FReepers who are outraged at Rep. John Murtha for his devastating political stunt yesterday to contact him.
Murtha may not care to hear from you unless you are one of his constituents, but HE put himself on the National stage yesterday calling for the immediate withdrawal of our troops in Iraq and as Americans, we need to let him hear from us.
If ever there was a time for us to ban together on this forum, we need to do it now. The anti-war drumbeats are becoming deafening and ALL OF US need to find our voices and shout back. Murtha's office needs to be bombarded with phone calls, faxes, mail and/or email. Please take a few minutes of your time and do this.
Call Murtha at . . .
800-289-2642 from Western PA (or) 814-535-2642 (or) 202-225-2065
Fax Murtha at . . .
814-539-6229 -- District 202-225-5709 -- Washington
ALL MAIL should be sent to:
PO Box 780 Johnstown, PA 15907-0780
I was out of the loop yesterday, but I've been informed Ollie North says for the first time he's hearing our soldiers wonder if we are going to lose the war because of the American public. He says Zarqawi was claiming victory after the recent spineless Senate vote for Warners bill and that Zarqawi has told his troops they have to just hold on a little longer.
This is what I've feared for most of this year. No one defending the mission and the loss of morale for our soldiers. The left wants another Vietnam and we're handing it to them on a silver platter. Color me disgusted.
Ping for action
If we indeed "lose" and there is another attack in America, the same spineless members of Congress AND the public will be screaming that Bush let us down. You can count on it. I just hope it never happens.
The next step will be the denial of funding... just as in Vietnam. May God damn us if it comes to that!
I fully expect an attack on US soil now that Murtha, Kerry, Kennedy, The MSM etc have prepared the target area.
The threat level has increased exponentially
We need to see if we can get these posts to our men and women overseas. Then we can deal with Murtha and the White-Flaggers.
And can you believe they have the traitorous gall to call for withdrawal because the terrorists are now targeting our military?
Why don't the democrats just come out and say it? Calling all terrorists: If you start killing dozens of our soldiers, we'll make sure America looses the war and you can take over Iraq (wink, wink)!
I wrote him and had the letter hand delivered.
There's a lot that I could say about Murtha that would get me in A LOT of trouble with fellow Freepers who fought in Vietnam.
If I slammed him the way I really wanted to, I would be attacked without mercy and would distract from the issue at hand.
I will temper my remarks this way:
I am deeply saddened that some brave men could return home from Vietnam as jelly-spined surrender monkeys while other brave men return as champions of all that is good about America.
As a member of Operation Spread The Truth I will do my part.
You can also e-mail the representatives in DC through the websites for the House of Reps. and the Senate.

You can pick and choose any congressman you want
You do know that all he did was repeat what he said last May, right?

Forgot to mention Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter
"I wrote him and had the letter hand delivered."
Registered mail??? EXCELLENT!!!
Let's just pray that we can actually use our majority. As long as Frist or someone, anyone, can whip the Moder-craps into line.
Pinging you to contact Murtha, please.
It's bill clinton and jimmy carter. They do not even deserve to have the first letter of their names capitalized.
