Recently discovered Iraqi documents now being translated by U.S. intelligence analysts indicate that Saddam Hussein's government made extensive plans to hide Iraq's weapons of mass destruction before the U.S. invasion in March 2003 - and had deep ties to al Qaida before the 9/11 attacks.
The explosive evidence was discovered among "millions of pages of documents" unearthed by the Iraq Survey Group weapons search team, reports the Weekly Standard's Stephen Hayes.
In the magazine's Nov. 21 issue, Hayes reveals that the document cache now being examined contains "a thick stew of reports and findings from a variety of [Iraqi] intelligence agencies and military units."
Though the Pentagon has so far declined to make the bombshell papers public, Hayes managed to obtain a list of titles on the reports.

I have similar reservations about News Max, but they say that they are reporting on something the Weekly Standard will report on, in the Weekly Standard's Nov 21st issue.
I'm going to wait and see on this one. It's possible this might be the smoking gun we've all been waiting for.
On the other hand, I would love to see a "Reverse Pentagon Papers" scenario evolve. But how could the Administration have kept all this quiet?
Doesn't matter. The liberals have had more than enough time to construct every possible Rovian conspiracy theory possible and not one of them involves wrongdoing on Saddams part.
I don't trust a website that has a blinking WINNER WINNER at the top. Bogus.
Bush better call a Presser or it will never be covered.
Anything from the Iraqi Survey Group will be dismissed as neoncon propaganda. Apparently, the only people more loathsome and despicable than Saddam and his thugs were their victims.
This information doesn't have a snowball's chance of: 1. getting any play in the MSM and 2. being believed even if it was on the 6 o'clock news every night this week. The opposition has done its' job too well re: the Bush lied lie, and as much as I love Rush, he's not the equivalent of non-stop airplay of the whole ABC/CBS/NBS/MSNBC/CNN, etc. crowd.
Better see this.

I would agree. Newsmax has a long track record of blowing smoke. The Weekly Standard, however, is a different matter. This could get interesting.
Agreed...you beat my OTOH post in 22.
The president is fighting a war, perhaps his agenda is more about that and protecting the troops and not tipping their hand to the enemy about what they know, as opposed to swatting liberal fleas off his hindquarters.
Eventually it will all come out in the wash.
A former Romanian Intelligence officer told the world of Saddam's plans to ditch his WMDs 3 years ago. Yet the MSM drools over Joe "lying sack of sh*t" "fancy hairdo" Wilson and ignores this guy as if he did not exist.
Yep, still waiting for Couric to bandy that about before the cameras.........
Keeps his eyes on the prize and isn't distracted by lies..........Just ask Ma Richards...........
Ever try decaf?
But of course, the silence from the MSM on this is deafening!
This would explain Rummy's comment the other day when asked about WMD.
Guess those of us that have maintained their existence aren't so fanciful after all.
I would feel better about this if NewsMax didn't include their obligatory "blockbuster" description to this information.
