Homophobia rules in Poznan
15.11.2005
Equality Parade banned by Poznan authorities.
The Gay and Lesbian Equality Parade planned for the coming Saturday in this western Polish city was banned by local authorities as it would be a serious danger to social order and property.
The officials stated that the intended route of the parade did not guarantee protection of property both private and public and freedom of gathering in this case stood in conflict with the right of defence of property.
The official line is that the organisers refused to change the route but it seems fairly clear that the city authorities yielded to the combined pressure of right-wing councillors from the ruling Law and Justice and League of Polish Families as well as from the Social Council of Poznan Archbishop.
A similar parade last year was stopped by an attack of right-wing hooligans, skins and members of the All-Polish Youth, an extreme right organisation connected with League of Polish Families.
I forgot to add :-))))))))))))))
There. Fixed.
gay men suffer from vaginophobia
Sounds sensible to me! :)
I have always believed that homophobia is a sign of good mental health.
This is an example of why it is death to our side to adopt the term homophobia. It's just an invalid term; and we should never use it, even when making an otherwise valid point. If you adopt false premises, you will eventually lose the debate no matter what. The premise matters more than any given single battle.
Homosexual Agenda FOILED Ping!
Poland always gives us good news and good cheer. Is there any way we can email our support to any of these fine people?
No PC crap for them. They aren't afraid to tell the truth, and then stand up for it.
Freepmail me and DirtyHarryY2K if you want on/off this pinglist.
The phobic are clearly the gays who fear losing big on their little perverted interests if they changed.
good.
Radio Polonia is an internet pod-casting blog, comprising of two Canadians (one with a polish parent. ooooo!), a New Yorker, a Lithuanian, a Slovak, an Estonian, a Hungarian...
No mention of any poles specifically.
Such a parade would get a similar response in Romania, Ukraine, Albania, and Bosnia, to say nothing of the rural regions/provincial cities of Hungary, Czech, and Lithuania.
The gays should be happy that the worst they have to face in Poland are a bunch of Soccer hooligans. If they tried this in Saudi Arabia, they'd be getting lead injections within five seconds.
(steely)
a simple "NO" is all that should be needed on something like this, screw'em, they don't deserve any explanation
Frisco loves all people that indulge in unnatural homosexual sex acts.
The abnormal are welcomed with open arms.
Three Cheers for Poland for not giving in to homosexual nazis!
I see no phobia's ... must be missing something..
I'll report to camp asap.
You've hit on a valid point there. I have always been perplexed at men who like other men (sexually) more than women. I am certainly not a feminist, but it concerns me that there are so many gay men in proportion to lesbian women. It seems to me that this has to be a matter of recruitment, for why would there be such an imbalance in the numbers? These folks claim it is inherent in their makeup. But, it is inherent in everyone's makeup to do things that are not necessarily considered OK, and society regulates anti-social behavior to steer peole away from these tendencies. For some reason, our society has gone amuck!
I also think there is a bit of misogyny about much of the gay lifestyle. They seem to avoid women, yet divide themselves into the masculine half and the feminine half. Seriously Odd.
I don't see on what grounds one can stop "gay pride" parades, so long as neutral time, place and manner as well as public decency laws are complied with (the last being the most important in this case!). It is unfortunate to me, however, how many politicians in this country feel the need to use their official position to promote these celebrations of sin and promiscuity. The government should be neutral as regards homosexual activity, not promote it.
