Quite right. FR is a conservative site for loyal American conservatives. Unfortunately, there seems to be an ever increasing number of Hispandering GOP Big Tent RINOs, liberals and moderates cluttering up the various threads. Worse, if you review this entire thread, there is also an influx of pro-illegal alien supporters, apologists and enablers, even though in total it is a quite small gaggle of quislings. They are easy to identify.
There are 6.5 billion people in the world. At least a billion would move here if they could. Do you care more about Pablo and Hector than about the other billions in Third World Countries that happen not to have a border with us?
Actually, you're a bit off on the "blacks not being considered persons" angle. Only slaves were considered so. Free men, though there were numerous anti-black laws in the South (and North, but less so) were citizens of the United States.
It simply skews the labor market for those who play (and immigrate) by the rules, and has many secondary social effects as well. Like trying to run a liquor store while boot-leggers sell booze and smokes on the street tax-free, and the cops won't crack down.

I am not sorry about my kid. She is beautiful, a joy, and a delight. Her lack of sophistication actually makes for a naive innocence that is refreshing sometimes when you consider the cesspool that kids today grow up in.

They need not be made public for you to accept, but the corporations know, and make use of, these rules and regs. So, your daughter WAS benefitting, even if you did not ask for said benefits. Don't believe me? Go to any Wal-Mart or other type store, and enquire about employment opportunities on her behalf....they will fall all over themselves in running to check what Gub'Mint goodies they qualify for! This says nothing about your daughter, but about business and Gub'Mint itself.

I'm glad you take joy in your daughter...personally knowing some retarded kids (my mom was a Special Ed therapist), most were extremely nice and pleasant to be with, some not so. I never asked you to apologize for her, or make any excuses. I'm glad she is functional in whatever capacity.
That is a good question. It is logistics. Nothing more. We have a BOATLOAD of entry level employees on our doorstep and a country that is achingly poor. Just makes sense to give them preference, to me.
It isn't some romantic notion of Mexicans being "more noble" or something. As a matter of fact, Mexicans are sort of despised by most of Latin America as being more crude and lowbrow and ignorant, especially by those from South America. You would NEVER hear a businessman in Colombia say "CHINGELO" in frustration. They sort of sneer at Mexicans like Europeans view the Irish.

We are on the field of Combat that is Politics...there are rules (which we both understand)....but some do not. They think it's bean-bags, and they can't take what they give.
