A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

What you see is not always what you see. Wait and see, and you will see what I see.
You may think the picture below is just a snowy bunch of black and white specks, but come closer.... closer.... closer.... come closer, until you're about six to ten inches from your monitor. Are you there? Now you may need to sorta cross your eyes and stare in the middle of the picture for just a bit. Now back up...you should see an object jump forward, leaving the background far behind. Do you see what I see? (Dolly, you will like this one.) :)
Here's one in color, and it's a nice picture by itself - even more fun when you see what you'll see when you do what you did before. :)
Just one more, because I don't want your eyes to hurt like mine did when I was searching for stereograms.
A cup of tea, anyone?
Have fun! Tell me what you saw in the pictures!

The Rose is very nicely done. Thanks for the link to that site. I spent more time in there last night than I should have. I think I looked at most all of them. :-)
This Butterfly is nice too.

Okay...I'm STILL not getting it. Had Mr. D. come in and he finally saw the first thing (which I STILL DON'T) With "THE ROSE" I saw rows of sharks!!!! Yikes!!! Sure glad this isn't a "rorschaut" (SP) test! (ok...am going to look at the rose again)

Now the butterfly....another one I DON'T get. Okay...you guys are giving me an inferiority complex. (deadhead...what was your explanation?)
To: deadhead; Billie
oops...never mind...just saw your explanation. Will try again. Great research job colleen!!!!!
To: dutchess
another one I DON'T get Awwwwww......poor thing. You are probably trying too hard, Sis.
Put your nose practically on the screen and relax your eyes (they may feel like they are crossing, that's okay). In a little while you should start to see the design "move". Just keep looking at it with your eyes relaxed. When the hidden image starts to take shape back away from the screen. Keep your eyes relaxed and you should see the shape and the dimension. It takes a little practice, but once you have your eyes trained, you will be able to see the images easily with this method. :-)
I have never ever been able to see the hidden image without putting my eyes real close and moving back. Others seem to be able to, but I can't.

Did you try any of the hints for viewing the 3D images and still couldn't see them? I stared at the middle of the pictures and after a few seconds the edges of the began to "move". In the wolf picture, I could almost--almost--see something, then it faded away.
Oh well. It was fun to try anyway :)

Hi, wolfie. Aren't those stereograms fun, once you learn how to see them?

By golly it does look like a turkey!
All the pieces have to be made out of recycled material.
The last one, the "ball", well I guess it could be called scrap material after he begged each "scrap" from it's former owner.

Hi, wolfie. Aren't those stereograms fun, once you learn how to see them?Morning, cookiebear! : )
Yep, they're really neat. I could always see the ones that the newspaper had, had to work a bit harder with the pc. : )
