A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

What you see is not always what you see. Wait and see, and you will see what I see.
You may think the picture below is just a snowy bunch of black and white specks, but come closer.... closer.... closer.... come closer, until you're about six to ten inches from your monitor. Are you there? Now you may need to sorta cross your eyes and stare in the middle of the picture for just a bit. Now back up...you should see an object jump forward, leaving the background far behind. Do you see what I see? (Dolly, you will like this one.) :)
Here's one in color, and it's a nice picture by itself - even more fun when you see what you'll see when you do what you did before. :)
Just one more, because I don't want your eyes to hurt like mine did when I was searching for stereograms.
A cup of tea, anyone?
Have fun! Tell me what you saw in the pictures!

My eyes don't do stereograph. Maybe it's the astigmatism? Morning PrettyFace,
Wish I knew how to help explain how to see the 3D images better than I already tried. There are still many here who can't get it to work, and I'm sorry you're all missing some really cool eye tricks!

LOL! I was really off, I saw an Angel. :) That one would have been easier to spot the 3D if I had named it first - at least one would have known what to look for. :)

I can't see anything in any of these pictures--so frustrating!
This one's for you, wolfie. Ah-roooooo!
Hmmm, I'm gonna guess on this one. Is it a werewolf ... in London? :) :) Not a werewolf. Just a wolf howling at the moon. :)
Did you try any of the hints for viewing the 3D images and still couldn't see them? I'm sorry - not as much fun for those who don't get the visuals to appear. :(

Sigh. Doggone it! Some neat pictures hidden inside, too. :(

I'm glad to hear from you! Will check FR mail. I'm worried about dutchess. She's been covered up at work and with *Dad*, and don't know if she was thinking you were doing today or not. :(

Mornin' Billie, MB.
Guess my eyes were too tired last night to "open" those later additions to the thread.
But after a semi-restful sleep, they popped right out. KEWL! Even managed to catch Louie barkin' at the moon.

Okay, let's just run this baby all day today, too!
I can't stay here and post all day, but maybe others can occasionally post a stereogram or something?
Tips for Viewing 3-D Stereograms
- Pick a spot on the picture (the middle seems to work best) and just stare at it.
- Allow your eyes to relax; don't just stare AT the image, try to stare THROUGH it. You'll notice your eyes will go slightly out of focus. This is normal.
- Keep staring, don't give up, once you begin to see the first image, it gets much easier.
Last night with my goodnight post, I think I linked a site with wonderful stereograms!

No, none of those are mine.
This is mine:
I thought mine would have won because it was the best sculpture there (ahem) but I realized if the art doesn't still look like junk they don't like it.
Oh well the prize for first place was a gift certificate at the dump...LOL
I thought this one was nice:
This one is unusual, can you guess what it is?
