A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

What you see is not always what you see. Wait and see, and you will see what I see.
You may think the picture below is just a snowy bunch of black and white specks, but come closer.... closer.... closer.... come closer, until you're about six to ten inches from your monitor. Are you there? Now you may need to sorta cross your eyes and stare in the middle of the picture for just a bit. Now back up...you should see an object jump forward, leaving the background far behind. Do you see what I see? (Dolly, you will like this one.) :)
Here's one in color, and it's a nice picture by itself - even more fun when you see what you'll see when you do what you did before. :)
Just one more, because I don't want your eyes to hurt like mine did when I was searching for stereograms.
A cup of tea, anyone?
Have fun! Tell me what you saw in the pictures!

Nope, sorry!
Tried again, and just got my personal version of things.
Maybe my perception of it is the problem. hehe hehe

Ok, let's see if I can explain it ANY better! AS you move in close to the picture and you are staring at it, UNFOCUS your eyes so that you're not really seeing that picture as it is, and your eyes almost go into a double vision BUT THE PICTURE YOU ARE LOOKING AT IS NO LONGER *SHARP AND FOCUSED* - forget trying to keep THAT image *in focus* - you are now off somewhere between, not really seeing the picture of black and white specks, but don't blink - move your head back very slowly, and the 3D object will start to appear and get more vivid as it *moves forward*!
Try again?

Okay...I've tried and tried and am having problems too. Was trying to look "cross eyed" (how does one do that) Will try again...BUT dad thinks I'm wierding out on him trying to "kiss the monitor" LOL!

Oh, those are all such neat eye games! The elephant looks like a centipede, he has so many *legs*. LOL! Actually, it is misleading - we can follow the 4 legs from the body down, but the end of *those* 4 there appear to be no feet.
The colors and the words are probably the most difficult to *do*!
That was fun!

I don't know if I left anyone out, but am going to address this to the ones I *think* I remember that said they couldn't see the images jump forward, and these are instructions I found on the net to help one *see* stereograms.
Tips for Viewing 3-D Stereograms
- Pick a spot on the picture (the middle seems to work best) and just stare at it.
- Allow your eyes to relax; don't just stare AT the image, try to stare THROUGH it.
You'll notice your eyes will go slightly out of focus. This is normal. - Keep staring, don't give up, once you begin to see the first image, it gets much easier.

The first one is Starship Enterprise. It's NOT as prominent as the next two, but I see it every time. Dolly said she couldn't see it part of the time. :( I'm posting a goodnight one in a few minutes. It's really pretty - I hope you can see it.
Can you see the last one? It's a teapot. :(

How about these?
Bear or Seal?
Father or Son?
To: Victoria Delsoul
I like them. Usually one of them is more prominent, and then you see the *other*!
