Yes, Chirac was quick to demand an investigation into this torched mosque but could give a damn about synagogues or churches...

It won't be over 'til the government sends in the army and starts some target practice. ...They will wait -- and wait -- until they have to call on NATO, and beg les chiens americains to come to their rescue!
Again.
Frankly, I think Teresa and John Heinz should fund reparations to the French muslims for their oppression at the hands of their white Christian overlords.

...what they refer to as "positive discrimination"Ah, yes, affirmative action worked so well to clear out our drug-infested, pregnant teens in slums.

Methinks not, like our home grown perps, when it comes to rioting and burning, they are too cowardly to $h!t except in their own nests.

I'm beginning to think the French intelligencia are not the same as the French people. Note that the French editors are reportedly concerned that readers might go 'hard right' if they keep reading about the riots. And then there's the growing Le Pen following.
Not to discourage you, however. A good tweaking might be good for them. Onward, Fruit Bat!

Where was Amnesty International's concern and outrage when muslim youth lit a french woman on fire with gasoline a few days ago?

That would make them just like Melosevik. After all the Melosevik bashing that Europe has been indulging in, to suddenly imitate his tactics in Kosovo would make Europe's leaders cringe at even the thought. Bottom line: take him out of the Hague and put him in charge of NATO.

To: ImpotentRage
I've thought about that too. How far would 'the people' go to protect this land, to pursue the aggressors if we have chaos in the streets here?
My conclusion: only a few fringe cases will go out of their way (or out of their neighborhood) to confront the threat head-on. A lot of people talk tough, but when it comes to the moment of truth, it won't look so appealing to go looking for trouble. And you're right that the law will be harsher on vigilantes than on rioters.
What I think will happen is that the truly prepared and patriotic will draw the line at their own neighborhoods, at the homes of the people they know. Riots in the next town will cause plenty of alarm and internet traffic, but when we see those flames in our neighbor's driveway or our own, it will be time. And Americans will do something about it on a personal level. At least I hope they will.

One mosque for each car.It isn't even one mosque for each church, much less each synagogue.

The French government will not even call out the military
how long did it take them to impose a curfew? you would expect they would have after the first night of trouble
has there been any looting? they just burn and don't loot? or is it just not mentioned by the french press?

They'd better settle for LePen if they know what's good for them. The situation may have gone past Le Pen. Ten or twenty years ago Le Pen might have saved things. Now he's not extreme enough
