Mosque Attack in France
The Brussels Journal ^ | 2005-11-12 13:53 | Paul Belien

It is becoming difficult to give you news about the situation in France. Apart from a minor incident involving a mosque, the media have lost interest or are complying with censorship recommendations from their editors who fear that the public would turn to the “extreme-right” if it receives correct information. Perhaps our attempt to provide information qualifies us as “extreme-right” too. To avoid legal problems our lawyers advise us to put up a warning:

Political Content Warning If you are a Socialist or a Liberal, please stop reading NOW.

In the sixteenth consecutive night of violence in France, 502 cars were set alight. Hundreds of molotov cocktails were thrown at policemen, cars and buildings, including a mosque in Carpentras in the south of the country. In Belgium’s sixth consecutive night of car torching, fifteen cars, including one truck and a bus, were damaged by fire – eight of them in Brussels. The situation in Denmark seems to be tense as well.

In both Paris and Brussels the authorities are nervous because islamist weblogs have called for demonstrations and violent protests today. The French authorities have banned all rallies and protests until Sunday evening. The Belgian authorities do not want the media to report about the weblogs. In Paris and Brussels the police are on the alert.

Meanwhile, Amnesty International has said it is “concerned” that the state of emergency in France “may lead to human rights violations” by the French police. Yesterday, one policeman was jailed and four were suspended because they had beaten up a 19-year old “youth” in a Paris suburb. The “youth” had just been released from custody for involvement in riots and had returned to taunt the officers. The beating incident was filmed by the television channel France 2. The channel is one of the French media outlets that does not want to broadcast acts of violence committed by “youths” for fear of copycat actions. The media devote a lot of attention to the beating incident. Apparently there is no fear that this will lead to copycat behaviour by frustrated policemen.

There is also considerable media attention for two molotov cocktails thrown at a mosque in the southern town of Carpentras. Though there was no material damage the French authorities have strongly condemned the attack. “This act of agression is as undignified as it is unacceptable,” Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy said. President Chirac and Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin, too, condemned the agression “with the greatest firmness” and expressed solidarity with the Muslim community of France.

Earlier this week two churches were set ablaze, but the French government did not express solidarity with the Christians of France. The Jewish community has also been advised to keep quiet about attacks on synagogues lest they attract the attention of copycats. After the attacks, the French authorities did not explicitly express solidarity with the Jews but advised them “not to publicize their fears, as such declarations could encourage rioters to attack Jews and Jewish community buildings.” Apparently, the media and the politicians are convinced that copycats are never Christians or Jews, but always Muslims. Doesn’t that attitude smack of racism?

"IMO they need more, not less, of the snot beaten outta these people."

Note that the French editors are trying to black out riot coverage now, fearful that the people would become 'etreme right wing'. It just so happens that a recent poll came out, showing that 3/4ths of the French agree with Right Winger, Le Pen. Blocking coverage will not make things better in the long term. Their paper sales will drop. Internet research will shoot up like a rocket. And French bloggers will start printing out copies. It's impossible to stop the flow of information for any length of time, so long as electricity flows.

They'd better settle for LePen if they know what's good for them. I'm calling on Melosevik to take over NATO. [Remember Kosovo? In time, the French people will start to agree with me. If they think LePen is too right wing, I wonder what they would think of that?

I hope all the art museums are in lock down mode. There are so many fabulous paintings in Paris, it would be tragic if they were lost.

Don't know about Finland, but I read recently that at the present birth and immigration rates, 5 Euronations will become majority Muslim by 2020, including France and Spain. If rates increase slightly, Germany will become #6.
I was in the Netherlands last December and we saw Muslims everywhere we went. The reaction there to the Holocaust is to absolutely not discriminate against ANYONE so their border is open to anyone who wants to enter.
The Europeans better wake up or they'll be overrun.

"REAL fear - that the authorities would punish the protectors of America as opposed to the oppressors."

You should be concerned about that possibility. For one thing, it's easier to catch a registered citizen with a paper trail than to catch an undocumented, invisible illegal alien. Heck, even our own cars often track us now, through GPS.

Oh that would definitely be Bush's fault.

Well, what about Jewish synagogues in France?

"...and four synagogues and Jewish schools have been firebombed, despite Jewish media reports that Jews are not being targeted more than others..."

The most telling passage in the story IMO. It shows me that France has totally sucumbed to political correctness and is more or less doomed. The "french culture" has been obliterated by insane liberalism.

The United States will soon have to be dealing with another lunitic islamic state unless someone in the French government gets some balls and starts killing some of the rioting muslum "youths".

The French government will not even call out the military for crying out loud....They are doomed

When an insurgent army has been sufficiently trained and equipped to be sent against the enemy, careful consideration must be given to their first target. Their first target must be one that will guarantee success for the untested army, so the weakest of the enemy locations is selected, and this is called a “Confidence” target. After achieving victory over the “Confidence” target, the insurgents will consider themselves to be seasoned veterans and will then confidently attack stronger and better defended targets.

Muslim barbarian insurgents are at the gates of Western Civilization and they have just selected their first Confidence targets.

I thought your #23 was good enough to post again. :)

Perhaps our attempt to provide information qualifies us as “extreme-right” too. To avoid legal problems our lawyers advise us to put up a warning:

If there is an "extreme right" response, it should definitely include the lawyers!

After seeing the art in Paris, London and Amsterdam and then seeing the National Gallery in DC and the Metropolitan in NY, I was appalled. We should have made saving Europe from Hitler a business deal. We will send our troops to Europe in exchange for paintings.

The more I read on this situation the more I'm convinced that France, relics, artifacts, and historic buildings and all, needs to burn to the ground and give the people a choice: Either restablish your nation or simply hand control of it over to muslims.

In both Paris and Brussels the authorities are nervous because islamist weblogs have called for demonstrations and violent protests today.

Gee! Imagine... How can this be. Hmmm...

The French authorities have banned all rallies and protests until Sunday evening.

I'm sure this'll take care of it just like the curfews did. Great call! LOL...

The Belgian authorities do not want the media to report about the weblogs.

This is how much the "authorities" care about their populace? I see.

It is amusing in black-comedy fashion to be sure.

Maybe the Jews in France should say that they fear that the muslims would begin to act as civilized humans instead of wild beasts.

What's that, AI is concerned about human rights violations by muslims against non-muslims? ....Oh,....my bad! I get it now. They're concerned that those that would destroy, burn people to death, kill them otherwise, riot and destroy property that is not theirs would have their rights violated.

Yeah, we wouldn't want them to not be treated fairly or anything.

I couldn't agree more. But France has had their balls snipped since the 1800s and it simply isn't going to happen.
