The latest Rasmussen Reports survey shows that Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum is continuing to lose ground in his battle for re-election. Santorum trails Democrat Bob Casey, Jr by twenty percentage points, 54% to 34%.

Word around FR is that this poll is bogus, as they oversampled human beings. :-)
Speaking only for myself, I would have voted for Old Man Casey for any office he sought. The son has to make his own case. I don't see him as picking up his father's sword. Of course, telling Hillary to stay out of his campaign (you understand, b***h) would go a long way.
Hillary's treatment of Bob Casey is a big part of why I am no longer a Democrat.
It's now near impossible for them to get me back because once I started listening to the other side, well... (as Reagan used to say.)
Come to think of it, it was Reagan, circa 1982, that started me this way. Maybe it was the Evil Empire line.
You're exactly right.
I'd suggest that we outsource the Senators to two full time Indians, one 'Rat and one republican and one part time substitute for RINOs and "Independents". Now that would save a ton of money.
He needs to make Gen. Honore (the guy who coined "stuck on stupid") his Press Secretary. That would be a good start, and appropriate for wartime.
I was writing about my corner, Northampton county.
Really? Did Santorum try to cut off taxpayer funding of the National Weather Service, or did he merely try to prohibit taxpayers from accessing data we paid for?
Pennsylvania is one of those states full of social Conservatives, largely but not exclusively elderly, who still vote for the Rats. It's maddening.
I think you're right. With the help of the conservatives in PA, we are going to clean house in Harrisburg and get a Democrat legislature to go with Rendell's 2nd term and on top of that, we're going to get a brand new Democrat senator to replace Santorum, a bunch of Democrat representatives to send to D.C. with Casey and for the piece de resistance, we'll get another Democrat senator when Specter goes. Then the conservatives will have something to cry about except that the smart ones will be voting with their feet and moving to someplace where the taxes are not quite as oppressive and there are a few Republicans in office.
Vote for a 3rd party, then you dont have to vote for the Dims.
You can't believe Casey is going to be any better in that respect, can you?
What a thought, and it could happen.
Maybe Pennsylvania will do us all a favor and not vote for Santorum or Casey. How about just a Republican who will get rid of pork and never talk about abortion?
So long, farewell, Auf wiedersehn, good night to the traitorous supporter of Snarl'n Arlen. Where is Arlen now for you Senator? Where is the quid pro quo Senator? Your pal Imus will have nothing to do with you after your upcoming humiliation. Write us from the ash-heap of history, won't you?
Ridge might be able to retain Specter's seat, and he would be a slight improvement over Arlen. He's no Toomey or Santorum though.
A vote for a third party is a vote for the dims, knuckle head.
The guy can't win re election so we should find a new spot at the public trough for him or better still, put him on the SC? Just what we need. More losers on the public payroll.
You are so correct uncbob - PA as a state is a joke - Philadelphia is a crime-ridden dump - I'm from PA, Northeastern PA - every town there is depressed and being ruined by smalltown smalltime (mostly democrat) political hacks.....my wife and I just moved away from the Philadelphia area after 10 years where they will hurt you if you are not a crazed Eagles, Flyers, Phillies, 76ers fanatic - there sports teams is all they have left and the fans have devolved into low-life desperate peasants - Philadelphia is a perfect example of an area that has become a getto of second class citizens who are being lulled into the classic government planation where the corrupt (demorat) politicians give the people sports stadiums and cheap mass transit to keep them entertained and confined - the place is finished and we will never go back - as the former mayor Ed Rendell left the city a mess and now he is ruining the rest of the state as governor. I feel sorry for Rick Santorum but the people of PA are fickle morons - anyone that we know with any brains have moved out and on.
Not that you need to be told that you're exactly right, but you are. I lived through the big city idiot infestation in my old hometown. I'm glad I got out when I did.
