DOVER, Pa. -- Pat Robertson had a special message for residents of Dover, Pa., today after voters there elected to boot the current school board, which instituted an intelligent design policy that led to a federal trial.
Robertson made the comment after Lee Webb of CBN News delivered a report on how residents in Dover voted in eight new Democratic board members, replacing all eight current members who had voted for a policy that required students in ninth-grade biology classes to hear a statement on intelligent design before hearing lessons on evolution. Webb then asked Robertson what he thought about the vote.
Here was Robertson's response.
"I'd like to say to the good citizens of Dover: If there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to God, you just rejected him from your city. And don't wonder why he hasn't helped you when problems begin, if they begin. I'm not saying they will, but if they do, just remember, you just voted God out of your city. And if that's the case, don't ask for his help because he might not be there."

He's my kind of nut.
Pat robertson has become like france: I don't really give a damn what either of them think.
Your speaking for Him is far worse then anything they did.
I wish he would stop speaking for Christians in this country - he's an embarrassment.
Pat's God is a vengeful ninth-grader.
I think he's right on. Somehow we think we can spit in God's eye and then turn around and ask His help when we need it.
A strange man. Harmless, but strange.........
Pour l'amusement...
Totally.....Pat keeps sticking his bible in his mouth... for such a Christian man...he would be well advised to let God speak for him....or hire a PR person for crying out loud.....
Why doesn't Pat just give God a hand and send a hurricane to destroy Dover, PA? After all, during his farce of a presidential campaign, he claimed to have diverted one.
He speaks out of his own vanity. I would NEVER presume to speak for the Lord.
I agree. We can't continue to reject God.
Pat needs to consider monasticism.
I cannot speak for God but Robertson just may be correct here.
Pat Robertson's a good guy. But he's getting old ...
Robertson has a 24 hr time lapse delay. He retracts most of his statements a day afterwards.

Too bad Crazy Pat couldn't speak in a similarly harsh way about the Chinese forced one child policy. Oh wait, money for Pat was involved in that issue. Never mind.
