The latest Rasmussen Reports survey shows that Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum is continuing to lose ground in his battle for re-election. Santorum trails Democrat Bob Casey, Jr by twenty percentage points, 54% to 34%.
You have got to be kidding me
DUH! I knew they were hedging their bets the minute I heard they put the clause in... Repubs are still trying to keep their ill gotten gains... like I said.. come May, the incumbent R from my district WILL NOT GET MY VOTE, period.
This fake repeal, with the fix being in, is just another insult to the intelligence of the people of PA.
My sentiment exactly! One would have to think that has something to do with it. This would appear to me to be a "thanks but no thanks" boomerang shot. I can certainly see why conservatives aren't all googly-eyed about voting for him.
Another friend of mine did the same with her 8-wk-old baby that she miscarried, but she had the priest come and baptize her, and they named her Mary.
Depends on what part of the state you're in really...the banjo part is really actually small on a per capita basis. I say this with all due respect to my Deering Sierra. IMHO, PA is pretty middle of the road and Santorum is way way to the right of where people are comfortable.
omfg, please tell me you're not in charge of the 2006 agenda or we're fackt.
It's got to have had some effect on his base. I wonder if Arlen will return the favor and campaign with him in the areas where Sphincter is a favorite.
Welcome to FR. You have a lot to learn about sarcastic hyperbole.
We will be voting for Santorun and I am sure that others in this area will be doing the same, not all of PA is Blue.
Santorum is the real deal for Conservatives. The PA GOP and the rest of us had better make a stand in PA.
You may be right....
It's too late for Santorum. If he can't put it together now, then he can't put it together.
Why do Pennsylvanians hate Santorum?
You're mistaken.
It's Santorum who is still being treated as a saint even though his RECENT record does not bear that out.
He has proposed and supported a lot of lousy legislation with the likes of Clinton, Kennedy, and Schumer. He has advocated raising the minimum wage, increasing SS taxes, and doling out $500 in taxpayer dollars to each new born child.
He voted against increasing security at the border and against cutting pork barrel spending to make it easier to pay for the damage done by Katrina and Rita.
He is not the man that we were all led to believe that he was. He is merely interested in keeping his job and will use any issue and any constituency to do it.
NO! We don't want Casey. We would prefer that he get a cushy job somewhere else and let an honest man run in his place and preferably someone who really is a conservative and not one who just played the part to win.
See #356
Tell me what he has done that resembled anything like conservatism in the past 18 months. Mind you, I don't want any bit parts that he played for the TV cameras, but real actions that have advanced conservative values.
What legislation has he proposed or supported?
What votes has he cast?
What causes has he championed?
When and where did he risk his political future to fight for what was right?
I forgot about that. Why do they do things like that when the people want someone besides an incumbent? I would probably not support him either since he helped give us Arlen Specter (how much did that help Republicans?!).
Do you have any evidence that he'd respect the Constitution any more sitting on the SCOTUS than he does now sitting in the Senate?
