Oops revise that, 23.6% in SD. Still a joke considering the mayor race.
The libs showed up and we didn't, that's the bottom line. If you didn't vote then this loss is on YOU.

I say the same thing about GWB, both he and Arnold could give a hoot about the polls, they just want to do whats right.

Did you hear Beatty stammering on John and Ken the other day? Does too much sex burn out your brain? He may have Alzheimers.

I know --- he tried --- but MSM are against him. That set up "town hall" or whatever it was billed was just one sorry example of the mendacity of MSM and the damn democrat unions.

2 numbers to consider:
1) 40% of California statewide precincts are in.
2) Only 1% of LA County precints are in.
We have a long way to go.

..I'm afraid the only thing that will break the leftist stranglehold on California is the San Andreas Fault splitting open and creating some nice beachfront property for Arizona.

I am shocked as to why people voted against spending limits.

great line, but it's "OUr" not are. Yeah, typing to fast on this LIVE THREAD... LIVE makes me want to type fast. Accuracy falls by the wayside from time to time.

I heard him on KFI. He sounded pretty good. Actually, I'd have liked to have seen him do some thirty minute spots, where he could adequately cover the issues point by point. If he did a little of a Perot act, it might have been helpful.
People need to see things in relationship, visually. It does help to define the issues.
For instance how many people know that out of 153 incumbent candidates that ran in California last November, 153 of them won re-election. This would be a very powerful arguement for the governor, but I never heard HIM make the point.
To: CaliGangsta
I agree. We are to blame for the piss poor voter turnout.
Still, in this dire election, my one hope is for Prop. 75 to pass. So far, although it narrowed a bit from earlier, it is still passing.

He's not whining or blaming anyone; just talking about how he's going to go back to work for the people of California to make things better. Great point. Can you imagine whiners like Gore or Kerry taking this "defeat" this proudly and optimistically?

Another straw in the wind on 73. Orange county has 15% of the today vote in. The margin from the absentees for union dues dropped 4%, the margin for 73 went up 2%. Hispanics are probably mostly today voters.

You're being painfully naive. You didn't see the ads on this measure. It was always couched as "We need to keep abortion
safe for our daughters" bullcrap.
So yes, it was down partisan lines, and no...it isn't just "fringe" either.
So tell me...what part of California do you live in again?
