It seems that unions aren't popular anymore. I wonder why?

.0000001% of the voters actually read the redistricting law proposed...

Anyone who voted against this hasn't a clue as to why this state is so damned screwed up...

Nor have they read the proposed law...

74 will fail on these numbers. The parental notification issue is iffy, because of the Hispanic vote.

Strategically, Prop 75 is the one that really matters. Prop 75 prohibits the use by public employee labor organizations of public employee dues or fees for political contributions except with the prior consent of individual public employees each year on a specified written form.

It is a start down the right road, and means that the June and November elections in 2006 will be even more important.

73,74,75 are passing and only 75 looks pretty solid so far.

Hispanics vote conservative in props, plus they are overwhelmingly catholic.

They will vote yes on this.

The absentees will have a big conservative bias on this issue. A decade ago absentees has an implied conservative bias of 10%. IIRC that is no longer the case.

The latest news suggests that the dimmies have finally figured out how to vote absentee.

So what we're seeing now, may be what we eventually end up with.
