The patterns are different. I don't have a handle on it. The Riverside today vote is heavily in favor of parental notification, and that county is heavily Hispanic. The Socal region seems to be voting pretty conservative in general. LA county in the absentees was even on parental notification, and even on union dues. The bay area, is hard liberal on everything, but rather weak in favor of unions, while some more conservative rural counties are not up to snuff. Everyone relatively speaking loves teacher tenure.

As if many of its residents have to worry about pregnancy... :-P There is more truth in that than you know.
I am looking forward to how real Parents vote on 73.

OK. Then that's even worse. Because there's still a chance we might occasionally get Republic governor's in California, but there's no chance we'll ever get a majority of Republican's in the assembly or state senate.

It may cost him his job. He didn't get everything he wanted but the Democrats haven't exactly rubbed him out of the picture. And they could well overreach again.

I don't have it quite so bad. I live in Sacramento, and am heartily ashamed to see how it's gone "NO" on most of the propositions (even if only by 51%), but it is "YES" on 73 - by 52%. Sacramento County is 10-1 dems. I'm the lone Republican in my neighborhood, and my flag is out every day, and I had the only Bush-Cheney yard signs for a four-block radius. Hehehe.

Well one piece of good news that my neighbors across the street are moving to Canada. They are very liberal, so we will have two less libs in this state.

Probably to get married?

I am getting very depressed.

I saw how many of us there are around here at the Reagan Memorial. It blew my mind how many hours so very many waited to pay their respects at all hours of the day or night.

But there are simply more of "them" than us. It kills me that they are all fooled by emotional ploys and outright lies.

There is no excuse that the parental notification for abortions ballot to be so close and may actually lose. This is an utter no-brainer even for a liberal state and its a nail-biter.

Rotten performance by pro life activists. Rotten judgment on part of too many Californians.

The fact that 73 is so close in itself is astonishing. A stunning failure.

San Francisco is also voting to kick military recruiters off campuses.

They need to secede right now from the union.

They got "Libby Lied" stickers out already?! She must really hate Bush. But it is California after all. What a ridiculous indictment anyway.

If Arnold gets just one proposition- it will be a huge victory. Especially, 75.
