so lets put it on the ballot again and let them pi$$ away more millions...pretty soon the rank and file will get tired of paying for a few leaders perks and political pandering.
Wrong. Schwarzenegger was villified for being so gullible and naive to think that his star power and willingness to compromise on loads of key issues would curry him any favor in the Democrat's camp. That wasn't a plan; it was assisted suicide.
You have no say anymore. How many hours do you complain about California on this site? Then, you actually have a chance to do something, and you CHOOSE not to. Shame on you. Don't even bother to insult me...what you say means nothing.
Did you vote?
Well, it can only be the future if the conservatives who pull the wagons continue to pull that wagon. However, if they hitch up and move that wagon to other states, it won't be long until judgement day arrives.
I moved in June to Arizona...unfortunately, alot of other Californians did as well. That's what will happen, the upper middle-class and the smart money will take their bloated real estate money and go. Only the filthy rich and the poor will remain. Good luck to them. We'll see what the future holds here. I'm still in shock that there are CA freepers who didn't even bother to vote. I'm so disgusted.
The Republicans let Arnold twist out in the wind. And Freepers who didn't vote can go to hell as far as I'm concerned. They should have their posting rights revoked...and I'm not kidding.
From what I see online this morning, my home town voted correctly by electing Jerry Sanders. You say you're a native. I am too, but I left this past summer. San Diego is not the town of my youth.
Hell yeah I voted. everyone I know voted. I voted weeks ago absentee.
No argument there. Hell, last night I had to spend about an hour looking for my polling place. It had been changed since the last election a year ago and was tucked away in some small, unmarked place. The wife and I drove past it three times and couldn't find it.
Finally we ended up parking and walked up and down the street to try to locate the voting place. We lucked out only because I happened to remember the numbers of the street address listed on the lavoter.net web site.
When we walked up to the building, there were no signs that typically indicate the site is a polling place. None. Not even balloons tied to a lamppost like they usually do. Hell, we didn't see any signs at all that it was a polling place until we were inside the building.
I only half-joked to the poll workers that I considered myself "almost disenfranchised" by the obvious obstacles to voting in this special election.
I still can't get over the fact there are people here who didn't vote.
CA FReepers didn't vote? Not even absentee?
If that's the case, they have NOTHING to complain about!
They have no place at the table.
A lot of people just voted NO on everything.
Let's face it, California is becoming much like Sweden or Canada. These are countries where so many people now depend on the state that it would be nearly impossible to reform them. Leftists win most elections in those places. Occasionally, the left pushes a little too far and there's a backlash against them that lasts exactly one election cycle. A "moderate" member of the opposition party gets to hold office for a term, during which not much happens. Then, the lefties get back in for another 18 or 20 years, during which they drive the nation further to the left, including enactment of the proposal that initially triggered the backlash against them.
Combine the socialism with exotic sexuality issues (as in Brave New World, where the rampant sexual immorality made people think they were "free" even as government expanded its control of them) and the state grows ever more powerful. You end up with a place where the voters endorse powerful government while simultaneously thinking they're "liberated" since teens can get abortions without parental notification.
"Red" Davis pushed California too far, and there was a backlash against him that lasted all of a few weeks, which was enough for a moderate Republican with star power to win a single election. But in retrospect Arnold was as doomed as the Swedish "conservatives" who briefly took power in the 80's after the Socialists pushed a little too far, too fast.
I was shocked, but pleased, that that was allowed to be published.
Lot of good it did, though.
How could people vote to NOT be told of their daughter's abortion?
I really, really do not understand it.
I think this may have been another one of those elections that people vote "No" on everything because they don't understand the props???
That's the only way I can begin to comprehend this.
Figures.
Looks like the lefties pulled it off. Barely.
That's what I think...some have admitted it...The thought that Warren Beatty is doing the Happy Dance this morning just eats me up.
Gotta agree with you on this one. If you didn't vote, don't complain about the outcome or criticize others.
