Arnold didn't support 73. He emphasized only 74 through 77. Look at every mailer that he sent out.

Yes, I ditched my Cal plate the first month I was here. Actually I had to re-register anyway but that is the first thing to do. As they say in the USAF..."a little stealth can keep you out of a whole lot of trouble."

I think so many people looking in who don't live in California or never lived there don't understand why McClintock can't win... and how a meathead really could get elected in that upside-down state... and when people stay home and don't vote or vote for someone who doesn't stand a chance then this is what we get.... and why NJ now has a Corzine.

A lesson I learned the hard way -- since I voted for Perot and will forever hold my nose and vote GOP from now on AND for the GOPer I think can win in the primary.

Incredible. The final analysis of who actually went out and voted will be fascinating.

And it is not all bad everywhere either. In San Diego, they turned down Surfer 'Chick' (and I use that term quite loosely), union owned girl, and elected Saunders. While it was a bad day for the Propositions, at least here, conservatives fought back and won.

Yes, be an activist in the Primary and get the best candidate for the party in at that time.

Then in the real election, lock and load for the Republicans to keep the liberals out of power.

Maybe in the Central Valley, but I saw absolutely no effort at all in Santa Barbara County from the pro 74-77 crowd. No phone calls (tons from the opposition), no mailers, no signs, no local TV adverts, no rallies, no web advertising. I knew nothing about the props until a week ago. For that matter, I didn't really get much from the anti 74-77 crowd, except a ton of voice messages.

Glad to hear the RP has life in at least some parts of this state.

I live in Colorado and I`m not sure Tancredo could be reelected here. Santorum, like him a lot, but he`s got as much chance of being the next President as you do. McClintock, you mean the guy that couldn`t get elected in California?
The correct answer should have been anybody but Hillary> There is NO arguement on that. If we don`t give 110% support to the Republican, Hillary will be the President. I am going to keep reminding Freepers from now to the 2008 election so live with it.

Yep -San Francisco...ONLY county to support Prop. 80

The prevailing SF belief is that communism is the best form of government, but that, sadly, the previous practitioners did not do it the right way. Fortunately, SF politicians have now figured out how to do it right, and they are busily working to get this noble system re-established in Baghdad-by-the-Bay.

Soon, word of this paradise will spread around the globe. The downtrodden will recognize how the intellectual Gods leading the City and County of San Francisco have struck upon the social and governmental model that will bring peace, prosperity, love and harmony to all mankind - and not struck upon it by accident, mind you, but by applying their superior intellect, social instincts, and unsurpassed understanding of the human spirit and needs.

A shining example, capturing the imagination of people around the world, will be how San Francisco, conclusively and lastingly overcoming basic human nature, has established an enduring system of cheap energy by controlling the evil corporations that profit from the misery of the downtrodden. Low cost electricity will flow forever, recharging everything from electric vehicles to dildos overnight (or overday for the latter) for pennies.

Yes, the world will realize, government knows best. And we must celebrate, nay worship, the enlightened gentle leaders of this paradise called the City by the Bay, surrender unto them the reins of the world, and sit back and enjoy our enduring happiness.

Incongruent.

Your structure and content is not corresponding.
Did your parents leave you alone tonight at home.
You thought you would be a big shot and post
to the adults.
We are not impressed.

I'll be right there with you.... I think the problem with Colorado is a whole lot of Libs from California have moved into the Denver/Colorado Springs areas and with all the greenies up around Aspen, etc... they are swinging that state to the dark side -- with the help of a very large immigrant population.... folks, these immigrants don't vote GOP just as few blacks vote GOP and we are not propigating.

California politics are, fortunately, not as bad as NJ.

Yet. ;)

While a good guy, McClintock is made his career on being the "no" guy. Never ever voted for a budget, for example. He's coming around to being about progress and less about strict litmus tests, however, with his endorsement of Arnold's props.

I'll support him for Lt. Gov next year but he couldn't win the governorship if Arnold couldn't run next year. Not a chance. Meatheads can win because they have the money behind them. Decide you're going to run again Feinstein and no one will give you the time of day much less a dime. Arnold won because he was high prolife and it was an election revolt against the establishment.

Not true. He endorsed Prop 73 on John & Ken's show on KFI. And also on Roger Hedgcock's show on KOGO. And probably on Rick Robert's show on KFMB-AM. He even threatened to beat up anyone who would take his daughter for an abortion without his knowledge.

San Francisco was the only area not to support the recall of Davis.

Sometimes I wonder if they're too extreme for even Barbara Boxer. ;)

If you Zonies don't like California, why do thousands
live in San Diego during the summer to get away from
the desert. Stay they and enjoy your 110 temp.

MEASURE Votes Percent
73 - TERMINATE MINORS PRGNCY -
YES 357,229 45.78
NO 423,142 54.22

When abortion is such a loveable thing in this country, I am surprised God doesnt send a thousand Katrinas a day. In fact, I see again why moslems see us as the great Satan.

And this isn't even an Anti Abortion law, its to just notify the parents right?

Scary but I noticed only 77% voted against Prop 73 while 80% voted against other measures.

They were by wide margins (maybe 15%) the most against Arnold's reforms.
