"THANK YOU AMERICA"I have the very good fortune to be working for a PR company hired by the Iraqi Kurds to help promote a media campaign that begins on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 here in the United States. Tomorrow is the launch of a TV ad campaign where the Iraqi Kurds say "Thank You" to America for liberating them from the oppressive regime of Saddam Hussein. Please watch the ads and post your thoughts.
"Thank You America" is the first of 3 ads that will run in the United States (beginning on Fox News Channel) and then thanking British and American troops in Europe and the Middle East.

"If these ads represent the majority of Kurds, (and I hope it does) then their capacity to forgive is a major lesson to us all." From my experience, they do.
A few months ago a left-wing news service did a story about my company's work with the Kurds. The liberals were furious that the Kurds were supportive of the liberation of Iraq since they (the Left here in the U.S.) is determined to "sell" Operation Iraqi Freedom as a horrible mistake, a Bush-lied quest for oil, killing innocents, etc..
Well, despite the negative slant of the story (which got picked up in some news services around the world), Iraqi Kurds from around the globe tracked me down (since I was quoted in the story) to thank me and my firm and to tell us how much they love and appreciate America. See: Article by Left Wing Reporter who "Monitors" Conservative Action

Thank you for the work you do and for letting us know how grateful the Kurds are. My stepson was in Iraq/Jordan in '03 and families need to know that their sacrifices are appreciated.

"CNN has rejected the ads for now."
FNC should poke a big fat finger in the eye of the Communist News Network and point that out. O'Reilly would be a good person to do the poking.

It's only the minority of the other part of Iraq that's in a mess. Most of it is doing very well.

I feel for them. I have always felt for them, much like those plucky Lebanese who rose up and kicked the Syrians out:

If only we could get some strong and vocal Muslim allies like that in the world we might, just might have a chance to start turning the propaganda war around.

By "the other Iraq," they mean the one that doesn't have exploding roadside bombs.

"CNN has rejected the ads for now."
CNN has rejected them, but I'm sure the network played the "Mr. President...2,000 deaths" spots.
They report all the bad news and ignore the good.
Sickening.

I just saw the "Thank you, America" ad on Fox - it was so beautiful, it almost brought tears to my eyes. It really puts a face on the country/people we've been helping and makes them much more real. Thanks and compliments to all who contributed to this ad.

Mine is the one with the Matthew quote and it would be my pleasure if you copied and used it.Thank you - it should be seen by all. The Matthew quote is perfect for that one. That picture out of all that I have seen has the power to bring tears over and over. It is such a symbol of the goodness of the American soldier and the evil of the terrorists. Thank you for the way you presented it.
