Paris police fear rioters' heavy arms (French fear muslim guns and grenades)
THE WASHINGTON TIMES ^ | November 7, 2005 | Jennifer Joan Lee

PARIS -- Police officers, exhausted and dispirited after 11 nights of street battles, say their mainly young African and Arab adversaries have access to sophisticated weapons including grenades and could soon begin using them. A dozen officers were injured, two of them seriously, after being shot with hunting rifles fitted with lead pellets during rioting last night in the suburb of Grigny, south of Paris, police said. Jean-Christophe Carne, president of a police trade union, told The Washington Times before last night's outbreak that police officers were increasingly pessimistic that civic order would be restored anytime soon. "Most of these kids are being coached by professional petty criminals and gang leaders in the suburbs," said Mr. Carne, president of Action Police CFTC. "In the past, when we have cracked down on these criminals in their homes, we found drugs, grenades and heavy weapons such as guns. While they haven't started using these arms yet, there's also no reason to think they wouldn't."

I'd like to know if a law abiding citizen of France can own any firearm...

It's only allowed if it's illegal apparently. :D

The fines are stiff if you own one legally.

What France is experiencing is life under Democrats:
civilians unarmed, minorities unassimilated by
Ghetto World, Socialized passivity, PC paralysis,
and dependency on the Right to bail them out.

I sense a "white sale" coming on in France.

Is it getting close to time for peoples' tighty-whities to be hanging out the windows?

NO! Let them learn to fight their own battles. Plus, I don't think there are enough American troops in exixtance to even begin to teach them how to fight. WWII proved that. We had to do it for them even then, mostly.

We need to see some sternly worded UN resolutions condemning the French for their heavy-handedness in dealing with the hoodlums poor, misunderstood Muslim youth and a demand that France cede 50% of its land mass so that the Muslims can have their own homeland.

Francistan or Parislamabad or something.

Only this could stop the violence (for we all know that violence is the only means these poor people have of expressing themselves). Isn't it worth it to stop the violence?

Yeah....disgusting, isn't it?

Here is one more interesting picture....very appropriate considering the feeble French response:

"How the hell is life going on in those areas
Surely services must be disruped--food etc"

Unless this has been planned for a long time and they've had a chance to stockpile. I'm beginning to lean towards that theory. I think they were just waiting for an excuse to start and those two kids provided them with it. It's not as dramatic as flying planes into buildings so less likely to get the same drastic response. I'd have to say that the muslims had a fair idea of what the French response would be. They obviously know their enemy better than we do.

2. A strong and merciless defense department.
3. We don't put up with ANY MUSLIM CRAP!!!
4. Fridays: hot fudge sundaes are half price.

Half price? By law? And will government subsidize the reduced costs to cover profit loss?

I say, let the market decide! see rule #1 :-)

We actually had half price hot fudge sundaes every Thursday when I was at the U of Chicago. Brings back, uh, warm memories.

The jihadists are going to be moving from Iraq to France if they haven't already.
