It's called "world domination". You start with where your people are. France has a high concentration thereof in practically self-directed areas, and is unwilling to stop the takeover.
That's one thing I really worry about: le Louvre.
That makes sense, but also presupposes an end to the rioting. How and when will it end? If the government hasn't reacted militarily yet, when will they? There's no obvious tipping point that I can see. Do the French regard anything as beyond the pale?

This I don't know for sure. But, everyone knows that the French made their moral capitulation long ago.
Europe in general and France particularly will probably now be the 'Syria' of the continent. And of course, Syria is hardly stable.

They must realize Iraq is a lost cause, and likely see France as a unique opportunity for "expansion". With the world's superpower dominating Iraq, there really is little point to continue the "insurgency" there. France, however, has a large semi-autonimous "pre-insurgent" region in a country following a "tolerance imperative" and unwilling to suppress an insurgency and unwilling to let the USA et all enter to help.
