:-) I am far enough away from this problem. This is like having a problem in NYCity and writing from Buffalo.

German engineering rocks! Good food, too. Why do you think the breweries closed?
On another thread -- the one about decorative pigs being banned from government offices in Britain -- someone said he was unable to get permission to build a barbecue place because it was too near a Muslim neighborhood. Do you think that Germany's history might make Germany bend over backwards to be fair and tolerant, perhaps to the detriment of their own peace and security?

Yahoo News just said the rioting has spread to 300 towns. They said "youths" are doing it again. Sounds so fake, soon it will be "belligerent toddlers" are throwing fire bombs!

It's a good opportunity to Baptize the Muslims who are cool with Jesus. They don't have to stop praying 5 times a day or start eating pork, they just have to repeat what historical opportunity was given to the former pagan Vikings to live with Christian Europeans.

I have a feeling that Germany is learning from France's missteps. The muslims better watch their step there. And in Denmark as well.

There were also 5 cars torched in Brussels last night, near the train station. (That is a mostly Muslim area.)

Interesting how there are now riots in Germany supposedly caused by the lack of jobs in France...

Are they blaming it on the "JOOS" yet?

It's sort of like a 12 guage shot gun. You don't necessarily need to kill anyone. Sometimes you only need to cock the action to scare away the threat.

The Germans are indeed in a very tough position because of their past. I remember back in the early 90s when the skinheads started targeting the "Auslanders," the hue and cry that went up because of the parallels with the Nazis.

. . . the woman responded that well, there had been over 5 million jews in germany, some time ago. Look, it wasn't a very nice thing to say, but under the circumstances I can't blame her. I'm sure it gave the "yoots" pause . . . and it's certainly a thought I would encourage amongst them. These Islamists don't listen to reason or nicey-nice talk, force and fear is all they understand.

I admire the old lady's spirit! Punks like that rely on the intimidation factor, and most middle-class people try to ignore them. This merely emboldens them.

I would think a cricket bat or a pool cue would be more effective than a tennis racket.
Around here, baseball bats and pool cues (held the wrong way round) are the weapons of choice in redneck bar fights. A good lick in the head with a baseball bat could easily be fatal, I assume a cricket bat has similar weight and heft.

I suspect the Germans will not be as pusillanimous as the French if the Islamists in Germany start trouble.

Five car in Berlin torched.
These riots spreading from one town to the next oddly remind me of the book War of the Worlds (not the movie or radio show!). The way a town heard rumors and fragments of news about a neighboring town being torched and then suddenly they themselves were attacked. Destruction, chaos and panic multiplying. Anyway, we all know what can ensue from a little bit of brushfire, especially if the land is covered with....kindling.
