Which of these pundit parades took the time to discuss the French Intifada?
More Peggy Noonan crapola....
Yeah, I admire cameramen for what they do....they are just following orders...and not getting the "glory" that the news "faces" like Cooper and Smith and Rivera, get.
BUT, Noonan knows they are making "political" statements, not just showing damage...
Think about it. GWB is one person. Not only does he need to fight the WOT, run the country, etc. He should be setting the MSM straight? Where are the people who voted for him? Where are our Senators? The MSM is prepared to foil GWB at every turn no matter what he says or does.
What they need is a sneak attack from the MILLIONS of people who voted for GWB. I, too, don't want to argue. But, the number of backseat drivers on the right is amazing. Let's DO something about the MSM and our Senators who don't seem to be on our side .....
Waiting for GWB to do it all isn't going to get us where we need to be.
PS. Wouldn't it be great if we had even a handful of GOP Senators with the guts to ACTIVELY and LOUDLY support the Admin? I don't mean talking like Sen. Roberts on TV while caving to the Dems behind the scenes.
I was thinking of the primary before he won the election. Once Coburn was the candidate, the WH support kicks in. At least that's the way I remember it.
Peggy Noonan makes me want to hurl. she i very over-rated as a writer. She reminds me of Mario Kuumo(Cuomo), who gave one speech at the Democrat convention and since then he is looked on as Presidential material and Statesman like, never really having done anything else. Peggy seems to be in a position to try to do Op Ed pieces that are of the quality that she penned as a Speech writer for Reagan. She is too dreamy, and "head in the clouds" in her thinking. She seems lost in a time warp, and I cannot read anything she writes anymore, it is too "yesterday". She seems to like bashing GWB, and I am sure it is because he did not hire her as his speechwriter. He may have been better off with her than Frum, but they are both huge egotists.
:0)
Talk about pressure LOL - see you all later off to get dinner now.
One good thing about the British system, it teaches pols how to debate. Way too much time spent by Repubos worrying about the "Comity of the Senate" We need more Delays and fewer Frists.
I understand what you're saying....
I certainly don't think Bush needs to put energy into "fighting" the media...not at all.... this should be our fight- not his. But I do think Bush should get HIS people to set the record straight when the lies are told.
And mostly I hate how he has to waste his time with the media over NON "questions."
You know what would be neat. The next time some reporter says, "people say.......(you suck)" or "Critics say......(you lied)" I would love to see Bush say "WHO SAYS?" "WHAT CRITICS?" "Huh, I was told you were picking your nose in the car this morning. I mean it's just a rumor but thought it was worth mentioning.....do you care to respond?"
Just for laughs... I can dream, can't I?
I guess the real problem is that too many people are like me... I spend more time complaining about the MSM than confronting the MSM.... I mean blogging to few people who think like me is not really doing much but sharing information- but it is NOT CONFRONTING the MSM......
I am guilty as anyone I guess for not taking up the fight. I talk to people all the time.. tell them about the lies- email friends, etc- but I don't CONFRONT the MSM and take up the fight....
I think Bush's sin, besides being a Republican.....
is also that the major media can't figure him out.
Clinton's press conferences were either glory fests about the wonderful ME or they were his tit for tat rehashing of past pubbie sins that he hoped would help his troubles pale in comparison!
Bush stays focussed on protecting us & improving life in our country and he won't roll in the dirt so they are bored. He has a family which adores him and that gives him an inner peace. He seems to truly rely on his faith in God and the press can't shake his sincerety. He's got them flummoxed!
I believe the dems have really mis-read this so-called scandal CIA business. Politics can get dirty....the public knows that. So when election time rolls around, core issues come to the forefront and the dems will get few if any votes running as the "clean" party if they remain enemies of the WOT, our professional military, traditional values, traditional marriage and lower taxes.
Yep, I agree. Seems too many on our side think bitching some how excuses them from action. Since they bitched about the problem they have "Done something" We need to spend less time bitching about our own side and more time helping things like Free Republic and the bloggs replace the Dinosaurs. We don't want to win over the Dinosaurs to our side, which is never going to happen, we want to destroy them. Looking at how much their add revues have dropped despite 10 straight quarters of higher then 3% GDP, we ARE on on way.
YES! It would be great if we had Senators with the guts to stand up and support Bush instead of bowing to the MSM! But it is our fault. I know here in GA that Herman Cain lost to Isakson.... and Cain is AWESOME! This man has NO PROBLEM calling it like it is... He now has a talk show on radio- I hope he gets a following and expands his exposure... we sure could use a man like him in D.C.
Ever heard the name "Chief Justice John Roberts"?
If the defeated liberal media is that powerful Kerry would have been President and as a matter of facts the Democrats would have always been in control of the White and Congress. The defeated liberal media is powerful but not to the degree that you think.
Would appear Sen Kennedy is talking out of his butt again.
I'd like to see a poll that polled dems and pubs equally.
No so-called independents allowed. Those are usually libs who are ashamed to admit it.
Now that would be a poll that would show Bush over 50% approval...I have no doubt.
I don't trust these network sponsored polls. Aren't there any independent agencies polling.
they have to be fairly honest right before elections because they have eggs benedict on their faces if they go far out like they're doing now.
