"Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace says he "hammered" his father Mike Wallace on the bias at CBS News during a taped interview set for broadcast on his own show Sunday morning.
"I hammer my father about the mainstream media," Wallace told WRKO Boston's Howie Carr on Friday. "I hammer him about Dan Rather and the fake memos."
Wallace said he told his Dad: "Isn't the reason that Dan Rather and '60 Minutes,' they were so quick to believe those memos is because they and others like you, card-carrying fellow travelers - isn't it a fact that they are quick to believe the worst about George W. Bush?"
Wallace wouldn't say what his father's response was, but he told Carr that it was the first time Wallace senior "talks about the actual journalism involved" in the Rathergate story.
Hope Chris used railroad spikes.

This interview will be shown today. In it you will hear the elder Wallace say that "journalists" get into the profession because of their patriotism. There may be other humorous gems. We shall see.
I don't buy it. Whenever someone tells me about how tough he is, I know he's not. Old Mike took out someone on the streets of NY a while ago over a parking spot. Do you think he would really take stuff from the kid?
Wonder whether Chris asked Mike about the Mike vs Dan encounter in a CBS restroom recently.
Apparently, per reports, Mike and Dan had a yellfest at each other about journalistic ethics.

That is the kind of broadside hyperbole which will forever keep the internet the very last place to go for opinion, let alone facts. I am also guilty.
Some didn't even finish elementary school; some dropped out of high school; and many dropped out of college before graduating.

Exactly! These people don't see their job as one to report the news, they see them as one to steer or guide the news. They're activists who steal from NASCAR (Turn left as fast as possible.). "Patriotism" to them is to change America into a Godless socialist society where they'd be the new founding fathers.
Let me get this straight, we are supposed to laud Chris Wallace for this tough and probing interview with a mentally confused, partially brain dead, verging on dementia, eighty-some year old man, who raised him in a lifestyle of the elite, gave him a stellar education, showed him the ropes of 'journalism', gave him the opportunity to breath the rarefied air of the upper class and placed him in the status, he now enjoys?
There was a day, not long ago, when a son praised his father for all his fortune and would be consumed with guilt if he spoke ill of him.
What some people do for rating's is unconscionably and Chris should realize that other people are doing a fine job of showing the country the bias of the MSM and he should have deferred this interview with his classless interview with his father.

Sitting around commenting on some "journalist" all wrapped up in his self-importance, 'hammering" his father...as if it obeying some biblical admonition to "Hammer thy Father and Mother".

Chris must have had some effect on his dad. The old man told Dan to his face that he should have resigned.
