JERUSALEM (AP) - Former President Clinton said in an interview Friday that he believes his wife would do a better job than he did in the nation's highest office.
New York Sen. Hillary Clinton has not said whether she plans to run in 2008. Nonetheless, her husband told Israel's Channel Two television that her experience as first lady would help make her a strong president.
"In some ways she would be (better) because of what we did together," he said from New York. "First, she has the Senate experience I didn't have. Second, she would have had the eight years in the White House."
"I think she wouldn't make as many mistakes because, you know, we're older and more mature, and she is far more experienced now in all the relevant ways than I was when I took office," he added. "So I think in a way she has the best of both worlds."
Bill Clinton was interviewed on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. He is expected in Israel later this week for the Rabin memorials.
Hillary Clinton, who is running for re-election to the Senate next year, has refused to rule out a run for the next presidency, saying she is concentrating on her current office. Polls indicate that if she runs for president, she would be the favorite for the Democratic nomination.
I got stuck in an airport with the Clinton News Network on yesterday. It was horrible. They don't even try to hide their bias. What a bunch of communist propaganda that network is. Wolf Blitzer could have been a bagman for Leon Trotsky.
Can somebody, anybody, tell me what this shark-eyed wench has ever done to even qualify for running for the by-God President of the United States??
Anyone??
Talk about your low thresholds.....
She would continue the tradition of sexually assaulting women.
Than what?
Now that's really setting the bar all but out of reach, isn't it?
Yep...just what I want to see defiling the White House again. |
"Clinton Says His Wife Would Make a Better President"
Than what...Mugabe?
I happened to turn on CNN for thirty seconds this afternoon and was privileged to see them all drooling over Argentinian riots. The real action is taking place half a world away in France.
I can hear Hillary now, "What do you mean "we" white man?"
The Clinton pooch (Seamus -- I had to look it up) would make a better President.
Think again, remember her VRWC statement on national TV, a blatant lie to the American people concerning M.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Oh,I know that she'll lie as often as she feels the need or the urge.If she were to consistently tell the truth about herself and what she believes, the only office she could possibly hope to attain is mayor of Berkeley or Cambridge.
What I was talking about is perjury. Her statement regarding the VRWC wasn't made under oath and, therefore, isn't perjury. There can be no doubt that she perjured herself many times during Whitewater/Travelgate... but she'll never perjure herself regarding Lewinskys.
Well considering Bubbas idea of a "good President" that is not saying a hell of a lot.
We will never understand why so many millions of Americans still idolize the Clintons and always will. We'll have to wiat for heaven to find out their secret for drawing the support of the poor or ignorant masses.
