Prince Charles: The Constantine of Islam?
Faith Freedom International ^ | 11/03/2005 | Ali Sina

Is Prince Charles being groomed to become the Constantine of Islam in England?

Prince Charles has arrived to America to for an eight-day tour. His mission is to persuade W. Bush and the Americans of “the merits of Islam”. He has voiced private concerns over America ’s "confrontational" approach to Muslim countries and its failure to appreciate Islam's strengths. He thinks United States has been too intolerant of the religion.

What is behind this interest in Islam? Why would the Prince of Wales become an ambassador of this Arabian religion?

In a 1997 Middle East Quarterly article titled "Prince Charles of Arabia," Ronni L. Gordon and David M. Stillman looked at evidence that Britain ’s Prince Charles might be a secret convert to Islam.

This claim was put forward by no less a personage than the grand mufti of Cyprus : "Did you know that Prince Charles has converted to Islam. Yes, yes. He is a Muslim. I can't say more. But it happened in Turkey . Oh, yes, he converted all right. When you get home check on how often he travels to Turkey . You'll find that your future king is a Muslim." 2

but I wish he'd come here to lecture Bush on architecture instead of attempting to meddle in US foreign policy.

As a Briton, and a theoretical Monarchist, I have to say ... you're quite right. BTW the BBC socialists keep telling us in the UK that Charles is lecturing Bush on Kyoto, of all the damn things. I hate the BBC so much.

Quite correct.

Edward VIII was forced to abdicate, not because of Mrs. Simpson, but rather because of his shocking Nazi political views.

He didn't exactly disown it, he said he would rather be known as "Defender of the Faiths".

Makes me glad we won that little dust-up back in 1776.

The King is supposed to be the head of the Church of England, and it is a Christian church.

Have you checked recently?

But, I agree. Charles will never be King. If they have to put Elizabeth in a deep freeze and pull her out once a year for ceremonial occaisions in order to keep Charles off the throne, that is what they will do.

Those boys can't grow up fast enough...

***He favours an "integrated, spiritual view of the world in a way we have not seen fit to do in recent generations in the West".***

And, who, may I ask will decide just what the "integrated, spiritual view" is to be? It sounds suspiciously like the U.N. announcement that there should be only one religion. Does Charles hope to be the Pope of the Worldview?

The only thing Islamists are good for is calibrating my gun sights.....

I would say the same for royalty...

I ran across a book some years ago that postulated that Prince Charles could be the Antichrist. I didn't read it, but maybe I'll try to track it down now.

The necklace is a dead ringer for Di's.

It's probably the same necklace. Sapphires that big don't grow on trees, you know.

What, you mean the blue velvet, white lined, long bell-sleeved, jewel necked, knee-length bag, as opposed to the elegant, cap sleeved, v-neck, floor length, classic dark blue silk evening gown with flared hem? Yeah, I see what you mean.

If he feels like that, why was he in such a huff when his ex wife was dating a muslim?

Because Doddi was cuter then he was.

I think the point he is making is that western society should rediscover its spiritual roots and move away from the current vogue for materialism- hence his interest in Mt Athos etc. The impression I get of Charles is that he is extremely interested in spritual contemplation- I believe that he also takes an interest in Bhuddism.

Camillia: Long sleeved short dress with off the shoulder boat neckline.

Diana: Short sleeved long dress with off the shoulder plunge neckline.

Aside from the fact they were both dresses and off the shoulder like most evening gowns I see no resemblance.

I don't think he's blithering. At least not yet :)

Ummm... no. It was Simpson all the way. Edward VIII could have married her if he accepted it'd be a morganatic marriage, but he wasn't willing to agree to this. His political views weren't all that different to George VI's really- the King after all reportedly wanted to sort out the European crisis in 1939 by going over and talking to Hitler as "one ex-serviceman to another".

The whole Simpson thing was a handy excuse as the establishment didn't like him much, but rumours of pro-fascism weren't the reason for him being pushed.
