Rioting Spreads to 20 Towns Around Paris
By JAMEY KEATEN, Associated Press Writer
Thu Nov 3, 2:55 PM ET
AULNAY-SOUS-BOIS, France - Rampaging youths shot at police and firefighters Thursday after burning car dealerships and public buses and hurling rocks at commuter trains, as eight days of riots over poor conditions in Paris-area housing projects spread to 20 towns.
Youths ignored an appeal for calm from President Jacques Chirac, whose government worked feverishly to fend off a political crisis amid criticism that it has ignored problems in neighborhoods heavily populated by first- and second-generation North African and Muslim immigrants.

Residents walk past the wreckage, Nov. 2, 2005, east of Paris. French President Jacques Chirac called for calm and a firm hand Wednesday in response to six nights of rioting in Paris' troubled suburbs, warning of a 'dangerous situation.'

" I thought it was over two youths who died while hiding from the police?"
The yoots (remember "My Cousin Vinnie?") were electrocuted when the hid from police in an electrical substation. Since France gets 75% of her electricity from nuclear energy the odds are three to one that they were killed by nuclear electricity. I would not be surprised if the MSM spun the headlines as "Two French Youth Killed by Nuclear Power."

Wolfstar, thank you for posting these photos from France. This is so awful. And the liberals, domestic and abroad, laughed and laughed when Bush Admin used the phrase "axis of evil". They made fun of it, and the very idea. Oh, how cruelly wrong they were. I pray and hope those damnable thugs doing these things are immediately apprehended. And dealt with very, very firmly.
Wot? No articles from the MSM quoting liberals calling these thugs "freedom fighters"? Has Cindy Sheehan worked out an accompanying cheerleading routine in support of these thugs, yet?

I see no shooting yet. Just a matter of time. When they get a'hold of firearms, and they will, then all hell will break out.
