Week of Riots Puts French Govt Under Pressure (LOL! Alert)

PARIS (Reuters) - Hundreds of youths clashed with police overnight and shots were reportedly fired at police...

...shotgun blasts had been fired at police in the Courneuve district, where youths showered police and fire-fighters with stones, bottles and paving stones.

``It's a dramatic situation. It is very serious and we fear that the events could even get worse tonight,'' said Francis Masanet...

``When I hear some people say that the presence of police can be provocative for some people, if the presence of police provokes some people, I know a lot of others who are delighted that the police and the gendarmes are in their area,'' he said.

The day after Chirac called for dialogue and for calmer minds to prevail, Social Cohesion Minister Jean-Louis Borloo said the French should not develop a one-sided image of the suburbs.

``One must not think for one second that this is the life of these neighborhoods,'' Borloo told France 2 television. ``They are an integral part of our country. It is in these neighborhoods that most companies are being founded.''

The Social Cohesion Minister?! LOL! Who makes this stuff up? And wouldn't one need to point out that he apparently hasn't achieved much "cohesion"? Well, no one wouldn't point it out...just like the words Islam and Muslim are never even hinted-at in this article.

And I love this part: "It is in these neighborhoods that most companies are being founded".

That would be the bomb-making FACTORIES, right? LOL!

and I do believe there is a bit of a conundrum, no?

Hey, I read that book when I was a teenager. I didn't think anyone else had ever heard of it. The French: ever gutless.

And the French consider Jacques Chirac and his "social cohesion minister" conservative! Sounds like a socialist country to me. Maybe they'll be overtly communistic soon, with or without Islamofascist takeover.

I recall a lot of odd stuff ( Keeper Of Odd Knowledge? Kook? )-- Southack made this interesting find:

The French blogs are now calling for all French Muslims to riot on Friday (tomorrow) in 700 cities all over France.

I noted on another post that France ( despite all the well-deserved jokes ) does have some nasty Special Ops types in their military, police, and counterterrorism units-- the big question is, do they have the will to deploy them?

The oh! so! predictable, dreary, "Muslim Outrage!" will follow inexorably.

Yeah, maybe something was lost in the translation, but I really did not follow what the Minister of Funny Walks--er, the Social Cohesion Poobah--had to say on this matter.

Is this true or sarc? By French blogs, do you mean Muslim blogs in France?

Assume it's straight, but it might be best to ask Southack to be sure.

It appears that the question to be asked is how the non-Muslim population is going to intergrate into Eurabia.
