PARIS - Dozens of vehicles were set ablaze in a sixth night of rioting in poor Paris suburbs, officials said on Wednesday, as youth unrest caused mounting strains within France’s conservative government.
A heavy police presence kept a tense order in Clichy-sous-Bois, where the clashes broke out last week after two teenagers of African origin were electrocuted while apparently fleeing the police.

Chirac will do something to temporarily appease the muslims, and by doing that and not taking a very tough anti-crime stance he will only embolden them to committ more violence. A sort of wine sipping cheese eating Neville Chamberlain.

This is a taste of far worse things to come.....the price the world will pay for allowing this societal disease called islam to exist. Unless civilized people wake up and snuff out islam, we will see the same thing in cities here...New York will become New Mecca.

It's funny they call it a "conservative" government. It just shows that everything is relative.
I caught that too. The implication being IMO, if a liberal( read completely pacifistic socialist) government was in charge, capitulation and appeasement to rioters would have already happened and "everybody would live happily ever after."
What a disturbing fairy tale the left lives.
Some of the other threads have explained that the French have created special police units just for these areas of town. The Interior Minister is a Law-and-Order type that want's the police to at least control the streets. Because the police are cracking down on crime in these areas with these special units, the muslims are pissed and riots have erupted.
I predict that this guy will be fired shortly. He's not very French.
By European standards, the government is conservative.

I think it's safe to say the French aren't up to the task of dealing with islamofascists. I doubt most of the rest of old Europe is either.
Its the religion of pieces, as in they prefer all non-believers in pieces.
And I'll bet it's a woman.

I'm more and more convinced that Europe will go Muslim in my Children's lifetimes. Sad but true. The Muslims play on Europe's tolerance and liberalism and come in huge numbers. Once there they breed like rabbits, while the Euro's have declining birthrates. They don't even have to fire a shot to take over the cradle of Western Civilization and it's tragic.
