As I said, I think Reid was hoping a fat girl in a thong would bring him a pizza while he was in closed session.

CNN just indicated that Republicans have been hit by a politcal 2x4! We talked much about wanting an intelligent SCOTUS nominee and I agree with that. But somebody needs to ask all the "smart people" in Washington, "Where is a conservative knight capable of slaying some hideous dragons?" The practice of diplomacy may be weakening conservative hearts and turning them into a lukewarm soup!

Silly and defensive for fighting back? Hell, we look that way already and the media portrayal will make it look even worse. So why in the hell not fight and fight dirty?

You really don't think this was one little tantrum do you? Reid and Co. have much more planned for our weak Senate leadership who continues to compromise when they should be leading.

I suspect the nomination of Alito and the failure of Plamegate to stay in the news sent these guys into their aggressive actions. and the result?

Plame, Wilson and the CIA are back in the news, Bush lied about Iraq is back in the news. Alito is a sideshow. And business in Washington continues as usual.

Is it any wonder we can't get people to show up and vote much less get active?

They do just like what happened to Joe Pesci and his brother in the movie Casino at the end. The Dems deserve it sometimes just the way those two got it.

-Listening to Frist, Santorum and Lott whine aloud is the real downside to all this.-

And we have no reason to believe they'll do anything OTHER than whine.

We have got to fight fire with fire and send information to our Senators to remind them how to fight.

Durbin was on television talking about the pre war intelligence and saying the administration lied when it said that AQ was tied to Iraq and that Iraq didn't have WMD.

1. Remind the left that every single Democrat of note said in 1998 that Iraq's WMD posed a danger to the United States.

2. Remind the left that Clinton's Justice Department obtained a federal indictment of Osama bin Laden which stated that AQ had a deal with Iraq. They agreed not to attack Iraq in exchange for weapons development.

Here is what is going on, people:

This was the worst week for Democrats in the whole of the Bush Administration. They cannot win at the ballot box, they cannot win in the courts, and they don't have the power to rally their base and raise money without doing these stupid radical things.

Harry Reid isn't smart enough to do what was done today, he simply followed orders.

Don't underestimate how much the Dems lost when Fitzgerald didn't indict Rove. That was their whole universe. They staked everything on that, and they lost. Then with Alito, the Dems got knocked right out of the news cycle, with their agenda in the toilet.

So, they threw a hail-mary today, and it almost scored. It didn't. It didn't, because they were hoping to get slapped down, so that in their outrage, they could just walk out and stop Senate business. That is still likely to be their plan. When the time comes, probably when Republicans NUKE their asses, they will just walk out and not allow Senate business to move forward.

This is the only way they can stop the Republican agenda from moving forward now. They are going to go on strike. What they want is to create a situation where Republicans go medieval on them, and give them an excuse to walk. Republicans were smart to just let it go.
