POTENTIAL HOT SPOTS: France Is Burning
Items About Areas That Could Break Out Into War
November 1, 2005: France is burning. For most of the last week, there have been nasty riots in the Parisian suburb of St Denis, complete with fires and many casualties. This area is home to about 500,000 Moslems. Many largely Moslem suburbs of Paris, and other large cities, have become no-go zones for the police, and anyone who is not of Middle Eastern origin. Over the last three decades, generous social benefits and immigration policies have left France with a Moslem population of some five million (about eight percent of the population.) High rise housing for them was built on the outskirts of major cities. Most of these Moslems did not try to assimilate, and by maintaining their old country culture and language, they made it more difficult for their kids to get jobs. Among the old school customs practiced is attacking, and even murdering, girls who do not conform to a "Moslem" style of behavior. While jobs may be lacking, crime and social welfare payments are not. So peop! le can live without jobs, and make a little extra with some crime on the side. But when you have a lot of people participating in, or just condoning, criminal behavior, you have a very dangerous place for outsiders. Officially, the government condemns this sort of "profiling," but a look at crime statistics shows that high rates of robbery, murder and rape tend to coincide with Moslem areas. There are unofficial maps on the Internet, where French citizens can check about where not to get lost the next time they go for a drive.
Meanwhile, the high crime rates in the Moslem neighborhoods has been spilling over into non-Moslem areas, and there has been a major outbreak of anti-Semitic attacks on Jews, and Jewish targets (synagogues, cemeteries, Etc.). It's not only become embarrassing for the government, but it's become a political issue. So the Interior Ministry has established special police units to try and reduce the crime rate in the Moslem areas. That has led to the recent rioting, arson, injuries, and advice by French traditionalists to just ignore the French Moslems. Leave them alone. Ignore them. Just like France has been doing for decades. Let the counter-terrorism police take care of any hotheads. But for the moment, the Interior Ministry is run by law-and-order types, and they are determined to at least own the streets in Moslem areas. So France burns.
France a.k.a. "New Palestine" ??
One more reason to boycott France (so as not to help them fund their welfare state).
As for the MSM, I have one question: where is Fox News on this?
Al Jazeera?
"Maybe we should start contacting the Media demanding to know why they refuse to report on this."
I'm outraged. I know that most of the Freepers know. And some of my more literate friends are aware. But I know many people who are still fed news the old fashioned way, on the nightly television news. And they are clueless, (I know that's a great straight line).
Say what you will, there are still more people being fed news from the old style MSM model than those of us using "alternative" news sources.
You could cut the irony of this with a knife, here you have a country that profited and enabled Saddam Hussein and Muslim terrorists for decades and now the rats have come home to terrorize...and to show you how insanely moronic these idiots are... they're burning down the European city that supported them the most!!!
Duhhhhhhhh...
I can't help but think of Canada going down like this. Perhaps the Canadians should see this mess in France with their own eyes. Maybe it will wake them up to the danger of allowing and encouraging third world people to move to their country.
nooooo,
its great. everyone can sit back to see how they will assess and deal the problem. is it to cave in and surrender? is it to reshape immigration? is it to make these people french? is it confront the issue with shoot to kill? the anarchy has to stop....but then again maybe it all makes sense.... isn't france the birthplace of anarchy and confusion?
Its funny that other accounts of the same riots said nothing about moslems.
Let it burn. They brought it on themselves.
As for the US, not ONE DAMN DIME, not ONE US SOLDIER'S LIFE for their defense. If they even indicate they want us to help them with their little vermin problem, we should make the lives of our congressmen absolute HELL.
Again, who runs the media in most European countries?
The state.
Is the state (Government of France) interested in advertising and fueling the issue with more coverage? Look at the headscarf issue and how that just disappeared from their media. It's their state attempting to play perception management using the media which they influence and largely even control.
Red6
I had the wierdest dream last night of a newspaer with the headline in huge type PARIS DYING! Now I read this...
500,000 Muslims? I bet they could take over the country if they tried. So long France........you deserve it.
This area is home to about 500,000 Moslems.

The simple, practical solution would be to boot 'em all out of the country. But being so "enlightened", they won't do it.
FOX needs to send some reporters over there and start getting some coverage as well as reactions from the "true" French citizens.
This has barely been mentioned up here. Today was the first time and it was a tiny blurb. I've spoken to several people in the last day or two who know absolutely nothing about it!
One more reason to boycott France (so as not to help them fund their welfare state).

Socialists never learn. You will ALWAYS lose. Someone has to pay the bills -- they always forget that due to their power-blindness.
"Meanwhile, the MSM"
You guys keep mentioning MSM.
What does Methylsulfonylmethane have to do with any of this?
Parisistan?
