The thing is people only watch Hard Boiled because they never quite know which Chris Matthews is going to show up.
I know this might get me flamed, but I have never been convinced that Matthews is a rabid dem. I watched him back during the Clinton impeachment and 2000 elections before FoxNews really took off. I actually thought he was pretty fair back then. Also, I heard that his brother stated that Chris actually voted for Bush in 2000. I think Chris turned much more dem after the Iraq war because he is decidely against it. IMO, if you ever notice the rabid statements that he spews, they always relate to the Iraq war in some way.

Matthews was a Dem operative in a previous life. I think he worked for Carter and Mondale, if I'm not mistaken.

I guess I am sort of lucky that my name doesn't end in a vowel, like my mother's maiden name. My father is Polish, althogh the name looks Indian (ends in -aj). The admissions committee at the University of Chicago must have thought I was one of those "brainy Indians."
And notice Matthews willing to carry the dems dirty water by airing this letter.

The contempt for HRC among that crowd is only slightly less palpable than the antipathy felt towards her by the attendees of the Von Steuben Day Parade.
Really, I thought he worked for Tip O'neil during the Reagan presidency, and yes I knew he was a democrat. Was just trying to make the point that he wasn't always rabid until the Iraq war.
Maybe Zell Miller challenged him to another duel!
