Per Fox News...
Here's mote in your eye.
picture didn't want to paste in, here's the link

The Jackasses in the Senate who voted against Roberts: Akaka, Bayh, Biden, Boxer, Cantwell, Clinton, Corzine, Dayton, Durbin, Feinstein, Harkin, Inouye, Kennedy, Kerry, Lautenberg, Mikulski, Obama, Reed, Reid, Sarbanes, Schumer, Stabenow.
I hope this crew is piloting the bad ship Lalapop in '08.
You know, I am beginning to wish Kennedy a long life. He is an important factor in GOP success every time he opens his mouth. He makes me want to lead a Crusade somewhere.:o)
I agree 100%. Roberts is the probable moderate here, with not much of a record, and picked to replace O'Conner. Alito is arguably the replacement for Rhenquist. Thus 1 conservative and 1 moderate are being replaced by 1 conservative and 1 moderate. DIMS SHOULD BE THANKING GWB for his generosity. I hope we don't forget to drive this fact home in our discussions with the less enlightened. Conservative guests appearing in the media need to bring this point up!
In a 2003 case, Barnhart v Thomas, Alito went native, there can be no question about it. Does that tell us anything? Well, it tells us several things I suppose. Number 1, he's got a heart. Number two, he sees nothing wrong with using other peoples money in this particular case to assuage that heart. He was reversed 9-0 so in this particular case he got the law totally wrong. Hopefully it's an isolated case, we all make mistakes.
A few (a very few) lolipopulists are necessary contrast to highlight the picture.
I'm not commenting on that.
My problem is with people (like the misguided guy above) who think she should never speak out EVER on public policy.
Oh, so now it's not "in most cases" anymore?
Now you're back to saying Laura Bush shouldn't speak out on public policy period.
How does this DUmmie really feel?

DU is a site for thinking peolple, eh? (sarc)...hehe
I'm afraid that you're trapping split hairs instead of letting them slide down the drain--keeps the drain from clogging, but only if there's a lot of hair; and, you have to empty the trap every day.
Was it his birthday?
That is why she has no business commenting on public policy. Her role in the Whitehouse is that of a wife - that is it.
Being married to the President means that she has to give up her right to free speech and just be 'a wife.'
That's just weird, Jeff. Just weird.
btw, are you happy today, or are you going to let your anger at Laura Bush keep you in a foul mood?
Knock three times.
The poster feels that Laura Bush should never speak out on public policy despite her years of hard work slogging away in the political trenches.
Seems pretty clear cut to me.
yes....my own crappy photoshop...it was as quick and as dirty as I could do it without getting fired for goofing off.
