From the article: "While the SBC is standing its ground, the Red Cross says water is water and they're now handing out the supplies."

In related news, members of the local St. Patrick's RC parish refused to drink the offered bottles when they learned they did not contain Bud ;-)

Always take two Baptists fishing.
If you take one, he'll drink all the beer.

Hmmm, Jesus turned water to wine to celebrate a wedding, but the SBC will not give water with a Brewer's label on it to those that are thirsty - help me, I'm confused.......

I was raised Southern Baptist and it didn't slow down the beer drinking an iota. I guess all my deceased relatives are roasting in hell. Sigh.

From the article,
UPDATE: Late Friday, as NBC2 was leaving Clewiston, we saw two members of the SBC handing out the canned water alongside the Red Cross.

Wow that's stupid. Sigh.
To: Mulch
If it's the truth, is it slant?

So is this story slanted or the facts shaded a bit? This is common practice in the liberal press, you do know that? Especially when it comes to Christianity.

Yes, it's a slanted article. Many facts missing, including the one that shows that the Baptists were indeed handing out the water.
Here's a question -- were people going *without* water because the Baptists weren't giving the Busch water to them? Were there, for example, cases of Dasani being handed out?

That was TWO people handing out water later.
Meanwhile, "the SBC is standing its ground."
