I'm afraid you will have a long wait for Libby to be acquitted on all charges.

Can you remember who actually told you that Vitamin C prevents the common cold?

Yet another republican self-inflicted wound.

I, for one, am waiting with bated breath to find out where you got the idea that anyone lied to protect the vice president.

I do not see why anyone for any reason ever has a pass to lie under oath. Period.

They don't have a pass.

Unless they are insane, people deceive and lie for reasons. They have a motive.

"Do I go to jail for lying to the cop about driving your car and picking up chicks?"

Of course not. It's not unlawful to have people make practice runs in panic.

FWIW, "savescooter.org" is available as a domain name if anyone's interested. ;)

ROFL. Who can forget Haig's pronouncement, "I'm in charge now!"

We cannot afford to have any administration inadvertently "outing" our secret service men and women.

Like John Kerry did?

According to the indictment, Valerie Plame WAS still considered undercover and her CIA employment was 'classified'

"was employed by the CIA and here employment status was classified. Prior to July 14, 2003, Valerie Wilson's affiliation with the CIA was not common knowledge outside the intelligence community."

That does NOT mean that she was considered undercover. It means that her status, undercover or not, is/was not known.

"I read somewhere that some of Libby's notes recovered by Fitz were on a hard drive that Libby thought he had wiped clean. That would be enough for an obstruction indictment."

NOTE TO SELF: set "default" on secure delete to overwrite 38 times rather than 3 and rewrite with hash and then zeroes.

Yes - but you're still wrong on the order of succession in this (theoretical) case. Read the 25th Amendment.

"no indictment for an actual crime."

Last I heard, perjury is a felony.

If this is Fitzmas, there's coal in a lot of stockings today.

Anyone put DU, DailyKos, and all the other tinfoil hat wearing, America hating web posters on suicide watch? If this is all they get, they can't be happy (a thought which brightens an otherwise dull Friday).

That's what the presstitutes are saying but they are still lying - according to the indictment Libby first got the info from the STATE DEPT.

So Fitzy believes instead of just a faulty memory, it was a deliberate lie? I'm just not convinced why would Libby take a chance like that?
