With winter nearly upon us, let's all not lose sight of this ongoing threat... You can be certain that the 'Chicken-Littles' of the world have not abandoned their quest to destroy America's economy.

We ought to start a global cooling movement. It could be a hilarious parody of the numb n-t leftist chicken little freaks. We could point to colder temperatures, how bad it would be if all the fresh water wound up at the north and south poles...

LOL. I like it!

Los Alamos, NM usually has a monsoon season running through July and most of August.

It continued through much of September and October as well.

Meanwhile, up here next to the Arctic Circle, we continue to have very warm weather (for Alaska, that is). What you don't understand is this... just like one instance of warmth up here isn't automatically "global warming," one instance of snow on Mt. Washington in October isn't an example of anything other than snow on a mountain where it can snow just about any time of the year. (I've been there three times, all in the summer, and experienced flurries on top twice.) In fact, the weather overall IS changing up here - what that means, why it's happening, and if it isn't just the normal flow of Earth's climate still hasn't been answered to my satisfaction. Frankly, I like being able to grow pumpkins in my garden and watermelon in my greenhouse. What I don't like is using climate change as a blunt instrument to attack capitalism or the United States. If we are experiencing human-produced global climate change, capitalism and freedom of thought are going to be our best hope for dealing with it. Just my two cents.

It's "The Day After Tomorrow"! Global warming is causing the globe to warm ... but that will cause another ice age. We're all gonna freeze to death ... or roast to death ... or die ... or get eaten by wolves ... or have to listen to Art Bell ... or have to move to Mexico. :)

This is a strange year for NM. I have been gone for 7 years, and this shocked me that it is so wet here. I would say that it is as wet as it was in the late 1980s.

Good comments. Thanks. IMO We need to avoid letting the koolaid-drinkers, and their 'junk science', force our 'leaders' into decisions that will HURT us more than HELP us.

For the same reason we never DID believe Micky Mantle really knew ANYTHING about razor blades, we CERTAINLY don't want non-scientist poseurs, like algore and his ilk, or the Hans-Blix-looking idiots at the UN, deciding what, if anything, we should be doing about an as-yet undetermined 'problem', which even the actual scientists don't yet even BEGIN to understand.

So far, the global-alarmist approach to this alleged 'problem' has seemed to be something like..."If the models don't match REALITY...we'll just have to change REALITY to match the 'models'...!!!" ...no way to run a railroad, in my view. ...but that's just MY opinion.
