My Latest John Kerry E-mail (Barf Alert)
e-mail | oct 27, 2005 | john kerrry

Posted on 10/27/2005 10:42:08 AM PDT by proud_yank

Dear A$$ Pirate,

We're doing what we set out to do -- putting the hardest questions about the direction of President Bush's Iraq policy front and center and demanding a specific timetable from the President about when our troops can come home. The major speech I delivered yesterday has generated an amazing response.

If you haven't yet seen excerpts of the speech, click here.

I'm writing today to ask you to join me in demanding that the Bush administration immediately put forward a detailed plan with target dates for the transfer of military and police responsibilities to Iraqis so the majority of our combat forces can be withdrawn and start coming home to their families. Our brave troops require leadership equal to their incredible sacrifices.

Please sign our Citizens' Petition on Iraq right now

As I made clear yesterday, there is no reason Iraq cannot be relatively stable, no reason the majority of our combat troops can't soon be on their way home, and no reason we can't take on a new role in Iraq, as an ally not an occupier, training Iraqis to defend themselves by the end of 2006.

Now, I need your help to put pressure on Republican members of Congress to stop going along with the Bush administration's disastrous "stay as long as it takes" approach and to start exercising their critical oversight role.

It may take months of effort and organizing by all of us to break through. But, I promise you this, we won't stop working until we do. If Bush doesn't act, we'll demand that Congress steps in to fill the void.

You can help right now by signing our petition demanding that President Bush deliver a concrete, detailed plan to Congress and the American people.

www.johnkerry.com/petition/iraq.php

Let's work together to create the kind of enormous public pressure it's going to take to force George W. Bush to change course in Iraq. I urge you to stay engaged in this effort.

Sincerely,

John 'Wanna-be POTUS' Kerry

P.S. We're going to have to move mountains to get the Bush administration to change course. Please forward this essential petition to as many people as possible right now.

P.S.S. I am a war hero.

P.S.S.S. If we all join hands, and throw a really really big temper tantrum, maybe I'll become president tomorrow!

Just a few months back, the waffle said the only way to win in Iraq was to add 40,000 troops immediately.

Simple 5 step plan for troop withdrawal:

1. Pull troops today
2. Announce next terror attack will result in the incineration of Mecca
3. Every attack thereafter results in more “holy site” incinerations
4. Then do it!
5. Declare victory

For someone who is such a brilliant military leader as John Kerry, one wonders why he never saw the Swift Boat Vets attack coming -- allowing himself and his team to be blindsided, and why he did not have a plan in place to neutralize the Swift Boat Veterans before they even became visible.

Even with all the resources of the MSM at his disposal -- given their interest in discrediting the SBVs -- he still could not stop them from inflicting mortal damage to his campaign.

If he couldn't even manage the Swift Boat Veterans' attack, how on earth can we count on his advice in managing Iraq and the WOT (to say nothing of China)?

Haa! Nice, I like it. I'm kicking myself for the past little stint of 'liberalism' I had. This is pretty fun, and I can only imagine how enjoyable it would have been during the election!

I guess we all grow up sometime, and some of us just grow old!

Sen. Kerry, how long do you plan on keeping your supporters on this task? Do you have an exit strategy? This "working until we do" approach is looking like a quagmire.

True, but I think it was Kerry who inflicted the mortal damage to his campaign.

I'll (sadly) admit that I went and saw him speak during the IA caucus. The letter he sent out was not even correct. He said that he spoke to us at a town that was about 75 miles away!

True, but I think it was Kerry who inflicted the mortal damage to his campaign.

Kerry is an incompetent, clueless, self-serving and self-important buffoon. (He's my Senator, so don't I know.) So in the end, that's what did him in.

But the analyses I have read of the election say that the SVP lowered his vote total enough -- though not by much -- to cost him the election.
