LAHORE, Pakistan, Oct 27 (Reuters) - The remains of one of the four suicide bombers blamed for the deadly July 7 attacks in London were quietly buried on Thursday in a Pakistani village of his ancestors, relatives said. The mother of Shehzad Tanweer brought the remains of her son on a flight on Wednesday from London to Lahore, capital of the central province of Punjab, according to an Interior Ministry official.
They were then driven to Chhotian Kota village, where the remains were to be buried at a local Islamic saint's shrine.
Tanweer was one of three British Muslims of Pakistani descent who detonated homemade bombs concealed in rucksacks on three underground trains and a bus, killing 52 people.
Residents said the burial was arranged by an uncle of Tanweer, Tahir Pervaiz, whom the 22-year-old former sports student from Leeds, northern England, had visited during a trip to Pakistan from mid-November last year to February.
"The burial has taken place," Pervaiz told Reuters by telephone before declining to answer more questions. A spokesman of the British High Commission (embassy) in Islamabad said he had no information about the arrival of Tanweer's remains or the burial.
British police say Tanweer set off a bomb on the underground at London's Aldgate station, killing seven people.
One resident of Chhotian Kota village, Shafqat Munir, told Reuters that 100 to 150 people -- family members and other villagers -- attended the funeral in the compound of what is known as Pir Barkat Ali Shah's shrine.
He said there was no slogan-chanting or apparent presence of Islamic militants.
I am quite surprised the trustees of the” local Islamic saint's shrine “ at Chhotian Kota in Pakistan has actually permitted this terrorist to be buied there. Terrorists buried next to “Saints” is more than I can stomach.
I would have thought a landfill next to the local abattoir a better choice as a burial site for this particular individual

Interestingly, Muslims believe one should be buried within 24 hours after death. I wonder if this "problem" prevents him from inhabiting his proper place in paradise? Hummmmm . . .

I was kind of hoping he would be buried in British soil so that I would have something to take a piss on when I visit next year.
I know there is no sanctuary in eternity for the crimes that he committed, but it is should be sobering to other terrorists that a God other than theirs made sure there was no sanctuary here in the temporal as well.
I dunno: How many people do you have to murder to become an Islamic Saint. Do women and kids count double? How about old men or women in wheelchairs, they count triple? Has Mohammed Atta been beatified in the Islamic faith yet.Do they have statues of their saints holding their beheading swords? Statues of women saints would be cheap they just need to make one statue of a woman in a burka and put any name on it they like, They all look alike in Burka's.

The entire world should be notified that any bomber remains will never be returned. The remains will be shipped to Deadwood and Al Swearingen will hand them over to his Chinese friend........over the fence they go.
