The gay-oriented Houston Voice has "outed" CNN's Anderson Cooper and Fox News Channel's Shepard Smith, charging that they "choose to hide and deceive -- and to protect their incomes and images -- at the expense of contributing important weight and star power to the gay civil rights movement." Managing Editor Kevin Naff claims in an editorial appearing in the current edition of the Voice that Smith once tried to pick him up in a gay piano bar in New York City and that Cooper dodged a question about his sexual orientation in a recent New York magazine interview by saying, ""The whole thing about being a reporter is that you're supposed to be an observer and to be able to adapt with any group you're in ... and I don't want to do anything that threatens that." Commented Naff: "Does he believe that female and African-American reporters lack credibility to cover stories since their minority status is showing?"
I'm shocked. Shocked I tell ya...
"And heterosexuals don't go around talking about about the private sex lives of individuals."
Yeah right. Tabloid after tabloid does this, are you saying that all employees of all tabloids are gay"?
Walter Winchell, the originator of all this public gossip nonesense, was not gay.
I really don't give a dang if either of these guys is gay or not. And just because this so-called "magazine" said Messrs. Smith and Cooper are gay, doesn't mean they are.
I have yet to see either of them foist a gay lifestyle on anyone. And in case people don't know this -- there is such a thing as a gay conservative. Maybe not in lifestyle, but I've known a few gay people who are conservative when it comes to their support of the war and the President, the economy and a lot of other issues.
If you love yourself more than anything, does that make you gay?
If so, they pretty much all are flaming.
(Not that there's anything wrong with that)
Who cares?
Good point.
He is a chef.
But I've hung out with him. He's not gay.
Shepherd Smith...Sphinchter Spelunker
Who knew?
Shep can't be a flamer! Can he?
If he were a flamer, how could he have slipped and mentioned "bl**j*b" in the same sentence with Jennifer Lopez? Only a normal guy who likes chicks (especially J-Lo) could commit such "Freudian" slip. Right? Or wrong?
DA740
He seems fascinated with JLo, doesn't he?
I don't think Shep is gay.
In any case, I really don't care. I dislike the gay movement, not gays personally. And the reason I dislike them so much is because they shove their private sexuality in everyone's face.
"Outing" someone makes me think less of the "outer", not the "outee".
Yeah, I prefer straight pianos myself.
Who cares?
Remember when Brit Hume used to say "my pal, Shep Smith" when he was throwing to him during Special Report?
I've noticed he doesn't say that any more.
Isn't that Ryan Seacrest's picture, and how is that news?
The only way Anderson Cooper could appear more gay is to actually burst into flames.
LMAO - I'm gonna steal that line for later use...
Indeed..
Furthermore gay conservatives have a much easier time coming out as gay to conservatives, than they do coming out as conservatives to gays. And yet they call us intolerant.
Let them get married and they'll be miserable like the rest of us.
