FOR years rival black gangs have waged brutal battles in the maze of streets on the neighbouring estates in Lozells, Aston and Handsworth.
But there were growing fears last night that two of the most violent black gangs, the Burger Bar Boys and the Johnson Crew, may unite against Asian gangs involved in the weekend riots.
According to an internet report, the two gangs which were involved in the New Year murders of Charlene Ellis and Letisha Shakespeare have put their differences aside in the aftermath of the riots.
A black music website called Supatrax featured an anonymous message under the heading: One black girl raped by 19 men, one black youth dead, one Asian man dead, one police officer shot, two girls stabbed, cars getting jacked, cars on fire.
It reads: Word outta street is that members from Johnson Crew and Burger Bar have met to call a truce to recent gang warfare and unite against any attacks from the Pakistani community.
For too long black people have had to stand by . . . this is a time to unite and stand strong not only for the justice of the young girl but also for the black community as a whole.
Four men, all members of the Burger Boys, were found guilty of the murder of the two girls who were shot outside a party in Aston in January. Marcus Ellis, 24, Charlenes half-brother, was among those jailed.
A police spokesman refused to confirm or deny rumours that the rival gangs had joined forces.
The three days of violence have seen a policeman shot, more than 30 people injured and cars torched and shops looted.
Detectives were continuing to try to establish whether the shooting of the teenager in the Newtown area of the city yesterday was linked to the rioting.
The teenager, said to be mixed race, was shot in the head and arm in the street, just one mile from the scene of the riots. It is not known whether the gunman was black or Asian. Speaking at a press conference yesterday Detective Chief Inspector Keith Wilson said: Its too early to comment on whether these incidents are linked. There have been community tensions in the area. If there are links then hopefully we will make them at a very early stage.
Armed police attended the scene at about 12.40am yesterday after receiving reports of a man brandishing a gun.
Officers gave the teenager first aid and called paramedics but they were unable to save him.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission was asked to investigate as a matter of course but insisted no shots were fired by officers.
Amerdeep Somal, commissioner for the complaints commission, said: Police had received several reports including one from the fire service of an armed man on the street.
They saw a man stumble and fall in the road and then approached to arrest him and saw he had injuries to his head and arm. Mr Somal was among those who appealed for calm yesterday.
America should prioritize immigrants who have skills to contribute and who want to become patriotic Americans.
Yes, it must be dreadful for those of you who are morally superior, having to tolerate all the rest of us. How do you endure it?
No actually to read the outright bigotry and hatred on this site makes it a very lonely place. Don't worry. Soon we'll all leave and it'll be the perfect stormfront heaven as you want it.
"I'd rather see discrimination on the basis of ideology - Islam, Communism, socialism - than discrimination on the basis of race or country of origin.
America should prioritize immigrants who have skills to contribute and who want to become patriotic Americans."
Excellent points. I don't disagree. And though my post mentioned third world immigration (because that is by far what we seem to be getting), I don't think my posts indicated any racial factor in immigration screening. I would like to limit immigration to highly intelligent, educated, and skilled persons, of whatever race. I think that reliable studies will show that crime and government dependence is lowest among that group. But I do think the numbers allowed in should be very low.
There were unsubstantiated claims that large numbers of young Pakistani men were ready to enter the fray and have only been held back by the orders of their religious leaders.
Interesting eh?
If Islamic religious leaders can control their flock so well why are so many people being killed every week by Islamic terrorists in the name of Allah?

Sorry about the multiple posts, something odd happened, I certainly didn't post 4 times...
Here is a nice definition of diversity spouted by a black St. Louis alderwomwn to her white colleagues: "Diversity doesn't mean I have to listen to you, it means you have to listen to me." This is diversity I could certainly live without.
This is debatable. (And I speak as the descendant of Ellis-island immigrants). The political class that created the Revolution was white, male, and Christian (and overwhelmingly Protestant to boot. Already, Americans were far more prosperous than the average Europeans. America was on a trajectory of success from the beginning, and I think America would have been a successful country even if it had always, not just sporadically, severely restricted immigration.
>>>>>>But having different people in America does not lead to multiculturalism.
But having all sorts of different people in America greatly increases the chances of multiculturalism prevaling. It's naive to pretend otherwise.
>>>>>>>Having Marxist white university professors does.
You're giving the nonwhite Marxists a pass?
In the interest of Brit/American translation, what do Brits call people from
China
Korea
Japan
Philippines
Thanks, in advance, for the info.
Especially considering that the guy that probably designed the microchip in his computer was probably an Indian (dots, not feathers) guy.
The glories of diversity coming to a ghetto near you. Too bad these gangs can't wipe each other out and give the civilized population a break. Barring that, put your money on the Asians.
America does NOT have a "blood and soil" culture as they do in Japan. It never has.
When the schools in San Antonio were integrated--that meant that Mexicans as well as blacks were allowed to go to previously all-Anglo(white) schools, the blacks were bewildered by the Mexicans. They found that they, the blacks, had more in common with the white kids even though the Mexicansd had dark skins. The Anglo kids fround they had more in common with the Mexicans (most of them being natives spoke English fluently. An interesting development.
