Venezuela getting ready to confront United States with military training of left-wing groups

Oil rich Venezuela scared of the same fate as Iraq, is planning some extreme measures to confront United States in case it is attacked. Venezuela is fast spreading arms, money and military training tactics to left-wing groups in Ecuador and six other Latin American countries. According to some international think tanks, the plan is to rage insurgency from outside Venezuela in case Venezuela is attacked and occupied.

According to media sources, left-wing groups in Ecuador and six other Latin American countries have received training in urban guerrilla war tactics from Venezuela this year, The Miami Herald reported Oct. 22, citing an Ecuadorian military intelligence report. While the report does not directly link Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to the training, it does identify two Caracas installations -- one belonging to the Venezuelan army and the other to the Ministry of Defense -- where the training took place. In the past, Caracas has denied it supports groups or organizations that use violence to achieve political ends.

The man is just asking for it isnt he? He wants a self fulfilling prophecy to happen. I say we start teasing him and let him waste his money.

I think this tactic is called "mooning the giant," for obvious reasons.

This isn't about the US, its about perpetual power for Chavez and his cronies in the region. Chaves is building his own Strumarbteilung (SA) to keep the people in line and intimidated, nothing more.

The upshot to all of this is this:

It is highly unlikely you will see Latin Americans engaging in suicide bombings. Culturally they have evolved beyond the 8th century. Now, as to those Hezbollah members they have imported into the area--that's a WHOLE other story....

Money is one thing Chavez has in abundance.
His people have been aiding the FARC narco terrorists in Eastern Colombia for four or five years. Venezula is FARC's Cambodia and Laos as far as sactuaries are going. The FARC pays top dollar for the service. This in addition to Chavez's oil bucks that he makes on both the wholesale and retail end here in the states, Venezuela owns CITGO. Chavez prevents Colombia from developing its own oil reserves in its east by supporting FARC which attacks the oil facilities. This keeps Colombia from providing competition to Chavez on the open market.

America has a long history of not attacking other countries for no good reason, which leads me to believe that these guys might be up to something. Why else would they be so paranoid?

I recently attended a funeral that was also attended by one of my wife's neices. She is a missionary in Venezuela. She told me of some horror stories authored by Chavez. She also told me of some horror stories that have resulted from Chavez holding hands with Castro.

The upshot was that some really horrific things with gradually become daily events if something serious and permanent doesn't befall Chavez. I asked her where was Venezuela's Augusto Pinochet who is so desperately needed? She responded with sort of a wry smile.

Chavez may end up arming those that will eventually rise up against him in the future.
We've got to open up Alaska and quit supporting these idiots with oil money. If this idiot Chavez want's a war, give him an economic one. Don't buy any of his crap, oil or textiles.
