You and me both. I live near Cincy and what he did to that little girl was horrible. Had he been caught alive I would gladly have volunteered to throw the switch on Ol' Sparky for him.

I know nothing about this. But from the news story, it appears that he killed two people, then abandoned his car. His body was found a mile away, along side railroad tracks.

Question: Did the police search the area near the abandoned car? I might accept the idea that they couldn't comb the woods -- but walking the train tracks seems a reasonable expectation.

ClearCase_guy:

He killed three people; a 13 year-old girl near Cincinnati; then came up 1-74 and 1-65 (my guess) to Remington, IN and shot two workers at a convenience store at I-65 and US 24.

As to your question: excellent point. Since it was nearby, you would think they would have covered it. But this is Gary, the murder capital of the country (or at least it used to be), so who knows...

Mikey_1962--I think you are correct; that's why I qualified my statement.

I would be so proud to be from a town that was the murder capital of the country, wouldn't you? /s

Question: Did the police search the area near the abandoned car?

From the article:

The body was located about 100 yards from where the search cut off,
