Thank you Cardinals for a great season...we had a blast here in our final season at Busch Stadium.

Congrats Houston (Wild Card winner).

Go White Sox.

I want to see those uniforms back. Of course, I also want the Padres to go back to the shades of brown, the Royals to go back to the powder blues, the Pirates to go back to the Mix'n'match shades of black and yellow, and the Yankess to go to hell...

Congratulations, Astros! Now, kick the snot out of the BlackSox, will ya?

If you are in St. Louis, go to Sports Fan-Attic at West County Mall.

Congrats to the Colt .45s, er, the 'stros!

Of course, they should enjoy tonight, because, starting Saturday, they are going to get stomped South Side style at Comiskey.

Anyway, I go into this little sports store in the strip mall today. Nobody ever goes there except maybe on weekends. Today, the joint was loaded. Sox shirts, Sox hats, Sox patches, Sox jackets, Sox pajamas, Sox boxer shorts.....all being carted out the door like Katrina Night in downtown New Orleans.

We have a nominee for Post of the Week. That is freakin hilarious!

Rusty Staub, Joe Morgan, Jim Wynn, Sonny Jackson...you're bringing back some memories. Even John Bateman the catcher, who didn't make a big career like the others, but he did provide some great laughs in one game when he literally split his britches.

That was the '66 season that I remember best.

I don't know which team with ex-yankee pitchers to root for. Any suggestions?

Bill- Yankees rule, sometimes.

Houston vs. Chicago.

This is a nightmare for MLB and the networks.

Well, they will have to live it. It will be interesting if a medium + a small market will give the ratings they need to survive.

Astros and White Sox. There's a matchup to make a ratings-hungry network executive take up hard liquor. ;)

Actually, that wouldn't be that bad.

I'm a native Chicagoan living in St. Louis. Monday morning I hit a few sports stores at a couple of malls. I was looking for a shirt with the Sox's "Chicago" script (see below) across the front. No such luck. Almost NO Chicago White Sox shirts at all. Not from a run on them, but because they never stocked Sox shirts here. Lots of Cubs shirts, though.

Hey, they mentioned at the end of the game that the crowd there in St. Louis stood and cheered for the Astros - that shows a lot of class........... thanx

These are some ghosts that need resurrecting!

It would be nice to see some of these old-timers at the Series. Astros have never truly had a chance to celebrate and take measure of their 44-year history. You need a World Series to do that.
